Those bands had decent guitarists. But the American pop-metal bands like Ratt seemed less credible to me after I heard Metallica's "Ride the Lightning." I didn't know how popular Metallica would eventually become, but I knew that the standard for heaviness had been raised. I think most of the pop-metal bands were influenced by Kiss and Van Halen, while the thrash bands listened to hardcore punk as well as Priest and Maiden.virgovictoria said:Whitesnake, Ratt and Scorpions were definitely well played back then

The other is probably Slippery When Wet original cover.Pandora said:Most of the LP's are my husbands. I am only accountable for Lionel Ritchie, Air Supply, 1-Kiss album, AC/DC and Def Leopard.
The rest are all old 80's hair bands. Dio, Black Sabbath along with other bands I mentioned seeing in concert in my earlier post are among his many albums.
He has 2 albums that had the cover banned, but I cannot remember off the top of my head which ones they are.
I want to say one was the original cover to the Scorpions because it had nipple showing.
