It never stops. People are so selfish and disgusting. Who wants their pets screwing? That is so nasty. Spay and neuter.

Geek my animals are fixed. Two females showed up in my yard and I felt sorry for them and started feeding them. I couldn't bring myself to take them to the pound. They were already pregnant when they showed up so now I have two litters of kittens. The kittens are being given to good homes and I am also trying to find homes for the two females. Although one of the females is very mean. She hisses and tries to bite, so I am not sure who would take her, so she may end up at the pound. Don't judge people until you have the full story.
And so far as bringing a box or carrier that is for the safety of the kitten. Taking a car ride may upset the animal..............duh!

First off, congrats on taking care of the strays. In the middle of kitten season it is heartbreaking to see how many cats are born just to die, or older cats cast off in place of cuter kittens. I know rescues that actually spay pregnant cats. It sounds harsh, but the overpopulation problem is out of control. May I suggest you spaying/neutering the kittens before giving them away? You could charge to cover the operations. Also, giving the animals away for free is not the best idea, ask a nominal charge (like $10) to discourage the use of the kittens as bait for dogfighting. Or snake food. Good luck.

Geek, I would do that if I could afford to, but even Lucky Ones charges 65-85for the shots and spaying/neutering for one kitten. I have given away 4 so far and the people all were asking questions about shots and spaying/neutering. One couple is also having the kitten declawed because they want an indoor cat. I am trusting people that actually take a kitten are the ones that really want a pet and are willing to be responsible. I will not give a kitten to anyone that gives off a bad feeling......

Oh shut up, Geek. And the rest of you animal nutties can shut up as well.

I got my beloved Kiki Stinkertoes because some person let their slut kitty rut around unfettered. My Claudia had two litters and every one of those kittens went to a loving home.

You get pissed about breeders, saying that people should get their pets from shelter. Then you get pissed about people whose animals create shelter pets.

WTF do you crazy people want????

I got my beloved Kiki Stinkertoes from my good friend who's an animal nutty because the Amish family let their slut kitty rut around unfettered. My Claudia had two litters and every one of those kittens went to a loving home.

That sounds like a good plan.

Backagain, kudos to you for what you are doing; I'm sure you have a very busy life but felt the compassion to take the time out of your days, feed these cats/kittens and now finding them homes. :huggy:

Good luck

Post of the thread.

if some ignorant POS would not have allowed their animals to go unfixed, none of us animal lovers would have the animals we have now.

I see more need in spaying and neutering humans than I do animals, after all, who does more harm in the world?

How much volunteering have you done at a shelter?

I'm an animal nutty, but I'm a realist. Like Geek said earlier, this is the animals forum so we aren't really discussing unfit HUMAN parents.

Who cares?

I have never volunteered at a shelter, except to take their unwanteds. Does that mean my opinion is any less valid?

I wasn't talking to you, I was responding to BCP because he doesn't seem to think there's a problem. If you have spent time at a shelter for even a few weeks, you can see the problem of over population.

But arguing with you or a lot of other people about this is like pissing in the wind. I'll take care of the animals, just like I've always done.
