If she is referencing Riverside, that is down Dowell Road by Washburn's (?) Marina. I ate there a couple of times and it was most excellent. I think they are open for special occassions now, but I could be wrong.vraiblonde said:Maybe - I can't remember the name of it.
Check out this website. http://pjma.infocdsulhoff said:In addition, it could be where they can show off their talent. How many teens do you know have garage bands, rap, or girl group singing here in this area? Do any of them outside of school have a place where they can show off their talent to a group of their own peers?

This has been over 10 years ago. Might be in the same building but not the same restaurant.RoseRed said:If she is referencing Riverside, that is down Dowell Road by Washburn's (?) Marina. What determines "fine dining", anyway? I don't think of Ruth's Chris as "fine dining" - it's just a fancy steakhouse.

I've had dinner there. It was great! Definitely what I consider fine dining. This is our favorite restaurant since moving here.RoseRed said:They have really good food, although, I have never had dinner there.
That's what I thought, too. I mean, it was a good steak but I've had just as good at less than half the price. AND they came with sides - you didn't have to pay extra for every little thing. "Pat of butter? That will be $24.95 please."willie said:I don't remember the exact price our host spent for our meal at Ruth Chris but it was unbelievable to me. The horrendous price had me so rattled that it affected my enjoyment of what I'm sure was a far above average meal. I'm pretty good at pissin away money but Ruth Chris is out of my league.
I went to a "Chop House" in dallas a couple years ago. Same here, the thought of paying $40 for a steak with no sides kinda ruined the moment.willie said:I don't remember the exact price our host spent for our meal at Ruth Chris but it was unbelievable to me. Ram's Head Tavern isn't fine dining either...it is a tavern after all.vraiblonde said:What determines "fine dining", anyway? I don't think of Ruth's Chris as "fine dining" - it's just a fancy steakhouse.

They are not actually a tavern...they just have a stupid name. They are a dining establishment.RoseRed said:I guess this doesn't count either.![]()

Rams Head Tavern truly is a tavern. They are primarily a drinking establishment (they are a micro-brewery), but they also serve food.
Tavern - an establishment where alcoholic beverages are sold to be drunk on the premises.
I have only been there once, but it I ever go back, it will ONLY be for the drinks. The food was horrible and looked as if it came out of a frozen dinner.tlatchaw said:Anybody have a review of Vera's? It looks like it's trying to set itself up not as fine dining, but odd dining. I have heard that they serve some pretty strong drinks, however.
