Gas Prices...

Not only do I find that very odd, I've also noted that when the price does change, it changes literally everywhere at almost exactly the same time...down to the minute. WTAF.
Having worked on fuel systems for about 30 odd years I can tell you this, this is an incredibly completive industry. The companies look everywhere for pricing at their competition, information comes from dealers, wholesalers and people that just drive around while they are working checking prices and reporting in. It is a pretty thoughtful process, people will drive out of their way to buy fuel 1 cent cheaper per gallon. Watching people buy fuel for over 30 years I've seen things at gas stations that were unbelievable !

Which is dumb. How much do they burn saving a penny a gallon? If already out and I see a deal, sure I'll fill up, but if you specifically drive out of your way for gas only you are probably burning more then you will save.
Even at 10 cents a gallon difference, it doesn't pay to go very far to get the savings. Most cars today have 12-16 gallon tanks so if you are at 3/4 of a tank you could save up to $1.20. Hardly worth the time to drive an extra mile. I have a 36 gallon tank. When I need gas I drive to COSTCO to save the 20 cents a gallon because $6.00 is worth the extra mile.

Apparently, gas prices aren't hitting people as hard as anyone suspects. Still seeing the Redneck Cadillacs putting the pedal to the floor to roll coal when the light turns green.

Just sneakin' around....
Just paid $5/g at WaWa for 93 octane. Fortunately, the Sling has a small tank and gets 30 mpg.

Check out Walmart and Target news, both missed earnings significantly.

Rolling coal is more important than underwear without holes.

With fuel costs, I'm so very glad I acted on impulse when I bought my Jetta. I can't even imagine what it would be like to get less than 40 mpg with these prices.

The only thing funnier are the people whining about having to return to work at Pax River. I told my neighbor yesterday "At least you got a 2+ YEAR break on having to gas up your car as often as those people who had to be there every single day!"

My '78 Bronco gets about 8 mpg. I'm glad my daily commute does not require more than my two feet.

I DO walk to work.
Yeah yeah. I know that. I was a mak'in a funny. :yay: But ya know, there are some people that are so ritualistic, and lazy, that this would actually be something they would do. Maybe not two feet. But an easily short 2-5 minute walk would necessitate getting in their car.

I know a few that regularly rode a bicycle to and from work. Traffic was not so obnoxious back then....
