Yesterday, I got 4 gallons of Willie to get me through until payday....

I got 6; I must be a 1%er!

I fueled up at 4.599 last week.

A fill cost me $110.

It won't be long now.

With fuel costs, I'm so very glad I acted on impulse when I bought my Jetta. I can't even imagine what it would be like to get less than 40 mpg with these prices.

On my last road trip home from AR, I had to rent a trailer. I didn't even keep track of how much it cost, just sighed and filled it up as needed until I got home.

I filled up on Thursday for $4.55 a gallon. My SO said I got a deal because the same station was $4.79 the next day. And $4.79 was the price at many other stations.

$4.79 was the average price from California up to Bowie yesterday. One or two places were still in the mid $4.60's.

Exxon and BP stations up on 301 in PG County were $4.99/gal for regular yesterday evening.

yep...4.99 for gas and 5.99 for diesel at most stations we passed on the way home from Dulles AP last evening.

Must not be hitting people too hard. I am still seeing a lot of tuned-up performance cars and Redneck Cadillacs rolling coal and trying to push that 93 octane and $6 per gallon diesel (respectively) into their engines as fast as they can.

It generally doesn't. People like to complain about gas prices, but nature has a way of shifting around household expenses to accommodate high gas prices. People just love to bitch.

At least GDP will get a boost. ;-)

Just got word that my car insurance premiums are going up because of the vast increase in uninsured accidents. I guess when times are tight, it is not cigarettes, alcohol, tattoos, or even driving better to conserve gas. It is "Hey.. need to save money. Let me lower my car insurance premiums or get rid of it all together and HOPE!"
