That I don't doubt. Even with tapping into the oil reserves as Bush is doing, that is only going to partially relieve the prices rising and can only be done temporarily. Unfortunatley, it's going to be months and months before oil service in the Gulf area will be restored. Gas will be over $3 a gallon by the weekend and probably over $4 within two weeks.CityGrl said:

Gas ,Tires Cigarettes and Alcohol are Taxed to death. The Government, more than likely makes more money than the manufactures on these items.
As far as the oil refineries in the gulf. That's a sorry azz excuse.
We have 3 just in Richmond VA And another dozen or so in PA and if I recall there is also one in Baltimore. This isn't even counting the ones spread out through other states like TX, OK and CA.
The real picture is the Government is creating revenue through raising Gas Prices.
