Am I the only one who isn't going bananas over the gas prices? :confused: It still isn't as bad as in the late 70's early 80's when you had the oil embargos and the gas lines. And we have no one to blame but ourselves. If I were in power back in the day I'd have NEVER given those oil wells to the Middle Eastern countries. I'd have made every oil well a US territory, but I'm imperialistic like that. :shrug:

I remember those days. Sitting in long ass lines in our family Ford LTD.

It could be that bad again Christy, maybe even worse, a good majority of people walk around 1/2 cocked and fully loaded these days. :peace:

Alot of gas companies get thier oil from foreign sources like the Middle East and Saudia Arabia. Saudia Arabia makes over $8 billion / day on gas prices, and that was the figure last summer, imagine how much they are making now?

The following gas companies import a majority of thier oil from Saudia Arabia and the Middle East:

Shell
Chevron/Texaco
Exxon/Mobil
Marathon/Speedway
Amoco

You'll also notice that these are mostly the ones that are the most expensive.
If we boycott those gas stations, then gas is more likely to go down. Maybe they will get the hint that until they stop relying on foreign oil, we won't buy their gas.

These companies DO NOT import Middle Eastern oil:

Citgo
Sunoco
Conoco
Sinclair
BP/Phillips
Hess
ARCO or ARC0



There is still no clue as to which category WaWa and Sheetz fall under.

Default settings? Haven't used them since the day of the teletype. :biggrin: Go for the maximum of 40 per page, it cuts down on page changes needed.

What kills me is that y'all are going into massive hysterics at the cost of a gallon of gas, and I bet very few of you even bat an eyelash at paying a dollar something for an 8 ounce bottle of water and probably do it on a daily basis. Just do what I do, drink less bottled water and you can afford more gas. :biggrin:

And no, unfortunately I have not been drinking. :lol:
