"Gays" - tell them the Truth

A straight man who becomes a celibate priest is still straight, even though he doesn't act on his romantic and sexual feelings for women. The same would be true for gay people.

"celibate priest"..... this may provide some insight on the problems the Catholic church is facing.

I believe that techonology is being used in great ways and bad ways. I just chose to create children the way God designed it.

I understand that some couples are told that they can't have children, but I also know the story of Abraham(Abram) and Sarah(Sarai). I guess what you believe, depends on who you view as being your 'source.'

How fortunate for you. So what would you say to a friend of mine who as a teen lost both of her ovaries ...should she have waited to become pregnant?

I would say "PRAY". I was told of someone recently who had an organ removed and then grew another. I would also point her to the Bible and the passages on Abraham and Sarah.

I've found that, this is their way of trying to make people like 2A look like the bad guy/gal.

So where do you draw the line on what technology you will use? Does you wife have prenatal visits? Will you child see a pediatrician?

As harsh as it may sound for those who can't have children, there's a reason for this. Adopting a child would be a good thing.

Couldn't it be said that God is guiding the doctors who are able to help people conceive?

I'm not a big supporter of gay rights or anything but I want to know is being gay any worse than someone who swears 24/7?

I mean they are both sins, why aren't Christians out trying to get people to quit swearing?

We are. That doesn't garner as much publicity as the gay thing, because the gay thing actually targets a discernible group of people, which makes great fodder for the media and lawyers.

I have a lot of respect for 2A and his beliefs, even though I disagree with them. I take him at his word that he does not hate gay people. Still, when he says that gay people are going to hell, I believe that encourages others to hate gay people, even if that isn't 2A's intention.

I think that it is a personal choice. I hope to make my choices based on the Word of God. I can't make others' choices for them, I can only make suggestions based on the Bible. For example, we chose not to have the test for 'down syndrome.' The reasons: We stand on Faith(that God will bless us with a healthy baby), knowledge of the inaccuracies with the test, and we would not abort our baby even if it had DS. So for us the test would have been irrelevant.

People lived longer in Biblical days... She was 80 years old... Personally speaking again, I doubt I'll live that long let alone pop a child out. And, if I'm not mistaken, Abraham didn't wait to have a child and boffed the maidservant Hagar who bore him a son called Ishmael.. :shrug:

It just seems like its the same old controversial subject... and I find that the way its put in the religious section offends me. Its not like its open for discussion or 2A is even being open minded -- its a 100% opinionated editorial hurled out to offend gay peopl or friends and family members of gay people. I see nothing AT ALL Christian about this overdone practice on here. Pop a fork in her - she's done.

My uncle is "Gay", I'm not at all offended here. My Uncle wouldn't be either. He knows right from wrong, he chooses WRONG. So be it. That's between him and God above. I love him. I pray for him.

Not the way I see it. I can't have children, I accept this. God wants it this way. Something's shouldn't be messed with.
