He needs the freedom to be the person he was born and created to be without having to hide or be ashame of who he is. He's probably living a miserable and stifled life. :shrug: Alcoholism is but a mere symptom.

I have a lot of respect for 2A and his beliefs, even though I disagree with them. I take him at his word that he does not hate gay people. Still, when he says that gay people are going to hell, I believe that encourages others to hate gay people, even if that isn't 2A's intention.

Of course not. The problem is when someone who takes the Biblical view tells others TO THEIR FACES that they're going to hell. That's incredibly hurtful and a gross violation of personal boundaries.

Should I lie to them and tell them that they are going to heaven? If your child(if you had/have one) was doing something that had immediate life/death consequences, would you correct them or would you let them make the mistake and risk losing them forever?

If a child is playing with matches, it's a possibility they will get burnt. If a child is running barefoot through the yard, they could get stung by a bee.

Can you be 100% certain that someone acting on homosexual behavior is making a "mistake" and will be turned away from Heaven? No, you've never seen the "other" side. What IF all the "Christians" in the world are wrong and your soul doesn't go anywhere? It's a possibility! :shrug:
