The government is NOT handing out free crack pipes.
They are handing out free money with which you may PURCHASE a safe smoking kit, which is highly likely to have a pipe.
This is being done in the name of "equity" - usually meaning, to ensure an equal outcome among heretofore underserved minorities.
So - is it safe to conclude - the administration is providing a free means for minorities to safely consume an illegal substance safely - but which still possesses at least some degree of killing them if used properly, if not likely destroying their lives nonetheless?
Sort of like giving out high end liquor to minority drunks so they won't get poisoned or go blind drinking moonshine?

I'm telling you, our elected leaders make money from the cartels and drug trade. That's why they have no interest in stopping it.
They WERE, and most likely still are, including crack pipes in those kits. The story got out, people started screaming, so they either removed the pipes from the kit or are simply lying about it like they lie about everything else.
Regardless of which it is, those are our tax dollars facilitating drug abuse. Inflation is through the roof, people can't feed themselves or afford their electricity, and yet they are being forced to pay for drug paraphernalia for addicts. Not rehab, not health care - crack pipes.
We have homeless vets living on the streets, kids who rely on school to feed them their one meal a day....and the Biden administration is spending our money on drug paraphernalia for addicts.
It's ridiculous.

I'm waiting for the person who called us idiots for thinking there were pipes in the kits to prove their point. I may not be the smartest man, but when your only sources that back up the White house are stories that only surfaced AFTER the White House made a pronouncement, just maybe the cart and the horse are not in the correct positions.

What he doesnt, and most likely cannot recognize, is that that WAS the good press coverage. Like a prosecutor knocking the charges down from rape to lewd touching, he was getting the best they could give. They tried to shine that turd......... Lordy they tried.

The HHS grant program says it's intended to "support community-based overdose prevention programs, syringe services programs, and other harm reduction services," including by distributing "safe smoking kits/supplies." A report from the Washington Free Beacon (Right bias) quoted an anonymous HHS spokesman who said the kits will "provide pipes for users to smoke crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and 'any illicit substance.'" The White House denied that the kits will include pipes, and said they'll instead include materials such as lip balm, clean syringes and alcohol swabs. Some Republican lawmakers, such as Sens. Ted Cruz (Texas) and Marco Rubio (Fl.), accused the Biden administration of using taxpayer money to enable illegal drug users.
Right-rated outlets highlighted the news prominently, and tended to focus on the Free Beacon report and frame it as fact. Some left-rated outlets painted the Free Beacon's report as false based on the White House's denial and a lack of confirmation from HHS, and framed Republican criticism of the program as unjustified. Reports across the spectrum mention how though the HHS grant program doesn't specifically mention the inclusion of pipes for smoking, such materials can be part of safe smoking kits and have been in some cities where similar programs have been used.

One meal a day? Not here, 100% breakfast and lunch. You dont see any kids carrying lunch boxes.
Sometimes when our schools are closed in inclement weather one can go and pickup ypur kids meals. I believe one can get meals when our schools are closed for spring, summer and winter breaks.
