I actually compared a lot of different bikes. I'd like to get a 600cc bike, but most feel too heavy for me. The only one that seems to fit me is the SV650...it's lighter.

BMW has a GREEAT 650 in three different styles.. this year they come out with an 800 twin.. a parallel twin not the normal BMW jugs..

i wouldn't be me if I didn't come in and chime in about Beemers!!

Sorry to burst your bubble guys but Dual Sport is the way to go!
I'm considering the Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom for my next bike. Not exactly dual sport, but dirt road capable.

Me getting a dual sport would be like buying an SUV with 4WD because it might snow.

Have you test driven any used R- GS's!!? I haven't taken one out for a ride yet (I REALLY don't want to buy one) but an unbelievably comfortable sitting position. New model coming out this year (1200GS and GS-HP), a LOT of used, and lease return bikes out there this year. They'll never be cheap, but probably get a 2003/4 for the same price as a new V-Strom...

and DURABLE.. these friggin things will last forever!

Bikes like the Hyabusa in the wrong hands, make for more employment opportunities.. figure if they can afford one they have to make a decent living.. and when they kill themselves, that's a good paying job opening..

Just looked at Bob's, they have one 1200GS and some already sold 650s
The 1200GS is $20K, The suzuki with GIVI luggage is half that.

I think the BMW dual sports are somewhat ugly (no offense).

What makes you say that??

Big color differentiation. Look down the wall where the guy's black jacket is hanging straight down and into the concrete...

Definitely photoshop...

I agree with the ugly.. but they kinda grow on you.. NOBODY will confuse your bike for anything else.. and like they say.. it may be ugly, but you have to ride one to see it's real beauty!

I went to Mortons last week-end.. HUGE showroom (at least for a BMW dealership) and a lot more new and used bikes to chose from.. and Bob's isn't real good at keeping their website up to date.

Morton's brother runs the power equipment store next doorto the bike dealership.. found an offset pull behind mower deck for next spring.. go from a 42 inch cutting path to over 100 inch.. make short work of that 2 acres in the spring!!

Disagree.. too much in the pictures to be photoshopped.. think there would be HUNDREDS of discrepancies if it was.. the discoloration you speak of.. New guard rail form a previous accident I would guess.. But how the sequence of pictures fit together.. would take YEARS to get this perfect..

Even in a series, that's nothing for someone who is good at Photoshop... The leather jacket should fold around the concrete wall. The bold black differentiation in the various leather jackets is enough to see that different pics were chopped in. One further up appeared to be a reversal of one of the closer shots...

It's a very good photoshop, but not so good that you can't look closely and tell...
