I think I used the wrong term.. transverse mounted, instead of parallel, though the pistons are parallel..

You are right, I was jerking your chain. I wanted to see if you would do a handstand in your office and giggle like a girl at the thought you might have talked somone into buying a BMW.

I wouldn't mind trying one out but I have to say any company that ever made a motorcycle as ugly as this

will not have much of a chance. WTF is up with the big snorkle looking thing protruding from the forks?

Friend of mine JUST traded that bike in for the '05 GS.. and I agree those bikes ar UGLY!! But they are also the top seller for BMW I believe.. I'd have to take one for a ride, (I don't want to buy one so I haven't) but the people that own them swear they are the most comfortable bikes they have ever ridden, made for the longest of long hauls. Sat on a 2004 1150 GS, blue and white, and it does "sit" nice.. but didn't want to take it for a ride.

Kawasloppy is coming out for 06 with a Ninja 650 which has a parallel twin. I believe to replace the EX500 varient. Looks like the SV650 has some competition. Price should be comparible if not cheaper.

The Ninja 650R is supposed to MSRP at $6,300, which puts it right between the Suzuki SV650 and SV650S models.

I like the Triumph better, but it sells for $9,000

the '06 GS1200
Supposed to be much more "dirt" oriented than previous editions. Notice the knobby tires.

The 1100 and the 1150 both came in "Adventure" series too, but most went with the non adventure.. stayed on the roads.

One of the reasons I like them is they are SOO different then anything else out there.. Be a toss up for my next bike.. The GS or the RT.

thats what i thought too, if you look at the sequence he actually slides head first and looks like he may hit him standing in the road, guy gets pissed off and turns around and kicks him..
