Power with Control
Like a lot of places, Maines most heavily populated areas are solid D. Coastal areas and the cities. I spent three years living in Brunswick. But one of my best friends lived out in Bridgeton, other friends in other areas also conservative. But they are like the Rs in MD.

It is what her constituents want. Maine is a hard Democrat state, Collins is the only "Republican". Which shows how stupid Mainers are because you'd think they'd put in an official Democrat to help that Senate majority.
Not really all the Hard of Democrat State. The Republicans need to vote her ass out. Its nowhere near the 55% Democrats to 31% Republican Maryland vote.

Maine Party Registration Statistics
  • Total Registered Voters: 1,061,816
  • Democrats: 366,714 (34.53%)
  • Republicans: 310,208 (29.21%)
  • Third Party/Other: 45,491 (4.28%)
  • Unaffiliated: 339,403 (31.97%)

Pete's ex-SIL is trying to make trouble for Pete. Dem Senators are pouncing on it.
Not surprised you knew they were gonna pull one out of the woodwork somewhere

Everybody always has somebody that doesn’t like them and is willing to say something to try to hurt them. A democrat will always take advantage of it.

Could not believe that Fetterman showed up at the Inauguration in shorts and a hoodie.
The guy is really not playing with a full deck.
He’s got a schtick to maintain, kind of like that crazy old bag with her cowboy hats.

Going Into a Dogfight Over Hegseth

Pete Hegseth has done everything required of him, done it with aplomb and dignity.

Not a soul was fooled nor mollified into caving 'Oh, well, we got one' by the polite 'unanimous vote for Marco' in the tailpipe trick.

Some of John Thune's threats must be beginning to work because the Senate got over their Ratcliffe procedural hissy fits...

...Senate Democrats slowed Ratcliffe's confirmation after his nomination advanced out of committee earlier this week, forcing procedural maneuvers to extend consideration of his nomination in recent days.
..."But Democrats unnecessarily delayed this important vote," Barrasso continued. "John Ratcliffe is undeniably qualified for the job, he's going to lead the CIA without bias, and with the safety of the American people being his priority."
On Tuesday, Sen. Chris Murphy, a Connecticut Democrat, objected to a time agreement that would have allowed the Senate to quickly vote on Ratcliffe's nomination, expressing "serious concerns" about Ratcliffe's ability to distance himself from Mr. Trump's political interests and urging that it wasn't too much to ask for senators to have time to debate the nomination on the floor.

We have a new CIA Director at last.

That's a whole *checks notes* two confirmations.

Hegseth had been humming along despite a rocky introductory period before senators actually had their face-to-face sessions with him. He then blew doubters away when he had his bravura performance during the hearings.

The Democrats, and, more importantly, I believe the military-industrial-DEI complex, panicked. The forces arrayed against Hegseth had counted on the reputed macho wildman to lose his cool at some point. Their orchestrated attack on all fronts at the hearing included every manner of modern, asymmetrical weaponry, from a phalanx of shrieking AWFLs...

Murkowski's comments about not supporting Pete piss me off. It's not unheard of, after seeing the sh!t they saw in Iraq/Afghanistan, for servicemembers to come home and have marital problems. The military/VA's record of mental health support has been laughable. Murkowski must be looking for a unicorn to fill the SecDef slot.

She wants to stay ruling over the retarded inbreds in her state. Look for Susan Collins to do the same.

Leftist MO:

Make up a bunch of bullshit stories with absolutely no evidence
Get the Leftist media to blast the accusations all over
Say you can't vote for that person because of the accusations against them

There's a name for that but I can't come up with it right now.

My Uncles first wife was banging Groten when he was riding around in a Boomer.
My father was swimming in the mecong when my mom was banging the other sailors of Norfolk.
One of my sisters was also banging the sailors of Newport while her husband was flying P3's in the Med.
My first ex was banging a Unicorn while I was across the pond.

Back in '81, my CG cutter was at the amphib base in Little Creek, VA going through REFTRA. At the EM Club on night, one of my shipmates got into it with a sailor. All hell was beginning break loose when my shipmate asked the sailor who he thought his wife was sleeping with when he was on a Med deployment. That's when I learned that Marines like to fight and hate sailors.

When you hear "Barking" and laughter, its showtime.

When I was young, I was tossed out of Ft Bragg's Parachute Club two nights in a row. I earned it... lol

We were kinda surprised that Marines liked Coasties. Had to do with Coasties dropping them off and picking them up from the beaches in the South Pacific in WW2.
Could be.
While living on my sailboat I was on the intercoastal somewhere in Georgia or northern FL, I anchored next to a Coast Guard pile driver / buoy service the skeeters were Fing brutal until the wind shifted. We were all laughing and having fun and I asked a few what did they do wrong to end up with this mos?
I asked a new question, when one young man told me that his enlistment contract said that working on one of these was going to be his mos....
He was as happy as one could get. Little Pink Houses......

One of my ex bil's sons has three sons around mines age. One is a PJ and the other two went USMC as grunts. Two are still enlisted and the other is working as my son is, and in the same country as my son.

Did you get your tiller running?
