Sure... But I subscribe to the idea that God has a grand plan. Sometimes we don't understand it and sometimes it causes us pain but.... In the end, it's all for the greater good.

I just wanted to give you some hope that is missing in the comment. We all have done and will continue to do "one thing bad" - we are all human. We are not sent to hell by God as this question and answer flow has been going. We choose either heaven or hell. God sent His Son to die on a cross to pay the penalty for the "one bad thing(s)" we do - a person who puts their trust in Jesus Christ has been forgiven and redeemed. Hell was made for Satan and His angels.. not God's created mankind whom He loves and redeemed.
A person who refuses God's love (Jesus Christ who died on a cross) refuses God's way and so therefore states by their refusal they do not want to be in the Kingdom of God. To put our trust in Jesus means: we ask for forgiveness in His name, we change our way to God's way through Jesus Christ, and we live a life to be pleasing to God. We don't do it perfectly - that is why Christ Jesus redeemed us.
Please don't let people dupe you into thinking God sends people to Hell... God has done everything for us to save us... we simply just must believe He has done it. If we don't, then we are not part of God's family by our choice, not God's. God didn't cause that, it is sinful man who refuses such love that saves us. "It is by grace (God's love demonstrated in Jesus) that saves us through faith, not our works that any man should boast." (Ephesians 2)
Hope this helps some... I know many will dismiss it, but many more won't.

That's right Fred. The problem has always been the blame game. Adam & Eve started it. When they sinned, Adam blamed Eve & Eve blamed the serpent. People won't admit they're wrong and turn from their evil ways. They want to do evil and not be punished for it.

home - First Baptist Church of St. Charles We have starter classes and new believer classes.
But don't just go to one for the answer, check everyone's doctrine out to the Bible. If a church preaches from the Bible and doesn't deviate to religion or practices, you are going to find answers.

Hello FR! Just be very careful & picky about which church you join. I hate to say it but there are good and bad ones. You can ask questions here but you'll be hit with many responses and you'd have to choose them carefully too. Look for one that does expository preaching they read the word of God than go back over it and explain it in the proper context. A topical sermon on 7 keys to healthy living is a waste of god air and your time.
As to the other question why bad things happen to good people. I could share this better in real time, but because of Adams sin there is no such thing as a good person in Gods Eyes. Both Christians and non Christians a like suffer in a fallen world, because of Adam we are enemys of God and its only through repentance of sin (turning from it) confessing it, and asking christ to give you a new heart and believing he died for your sins on the cross, Can we be found redeemed by God and we become heirs of the kingdom of God through Christ paying the sin debt (the penility for Our Sin).

That judgement is what is meant by the second chance.That is putting a condition when it is unconditional.
And it puts a punishment when the penalty is already paid in full.Burning people in Hell for all eternity based on anything is not justice at all.
It would be called an act of a monster that only pretends to be a loving Father God.The word "Hades" comes from the Greek language and the Greek God called Hades link HERE and the notion of "Hell" came from that same place.
Jesus taught us God's way when He said to love our enemies link HERE and not to burn them.
Therefore Jesus and God does not do as the Greeks claim.

The regular popular Churchs only do "praise" and "worship" and teach people nearly nothing so even if one goes to a Church then we all still must do the study research ourselves or it does not get done.
I go to a nice Bible study for singles and you would not learn much there but it is fun and nice friends. PM for info.

If they pray to God to stop using crack, God may just stop the addiction but more likely, God will send someone to help, an intervention by family, or even a cop that busts them.
We got so messed up when Eve and Adam decided to rebel against God. That was the start of the knowledge of good and evil.

And big churches are not necessarily the best churches. The original congregations were very small and met in homes.
