I have a real problem with cops who say "I'm just following orders." The Gestapo were just following orders, too. The Santebal - just following orders. NKVD - just following orders.
And when that cop says, "I don't want to be here either" - why are you then? If your boss told you to go shoot protesters, would you do it? If he told you to forcibly take someone's children away from them because they won't wear a mask, would you do it?
At what point do decent men draw the line and say, "No, I will not follow that order"?
People like you don't deserve to be free. You were born for captivity and dependency. I'm thinking North Korea would be your perfect happy place.
Eat crap. There are zero cases of COVID in that zip code.

so the point was brought up today, we have no cases in Ridge at the moment but now that we are closed people will have to go to Dyson in Great Mills or Lowes in California that have more cases where you are more likely to catch the ‘rona. Then they come back home to Ridge and spread it around and now we have cases! Yeah makes a lot of selse to me because I am exacerbating the spread.

I went down to Ridge hardware a few weeks ago.
I saw the signs about the state mandate insofar as masks, social distancing and so forth.
Noticed the sanitation items on offer for one to clean one's hands.
The person who checked me out, I thought was perfectly fine without a mask, behind their "sneeze shield."
If this Brewster character wants to make a real impact, have the health department do a thorough inspection of the Big Boxes along 3 Notch in California...violations galore.

She's a Leftist bully - she's not going to go after Big Box because she knows they'll slap her ass and send her back home to make them a sammich.

Almost everyone has to do something at their job they dont want to. Whether its enforcing an order, digging a ditch or writing a TPS report.

great question- let me tell you what I have learned about this over the last 4 months.
#1 the health department directors in each county in Maryland have been given unlimited powers under Hogans order
#2 these directors answer to no one because
#3 they are funded by the state and
#4 they are hired by the county so
this is a grey area from what I have been told since the people hiring don’t fund and the people funding don’t hire.
I believe I was told that no health director in the state has ever been terminated.
The Health Board in St Mary’s County consists of Dr Brewster and the 5 county Commissioners for what it’s worth.
I was wondering the same thing. It seems odd that you can rob/rape/deal drugs in that county and the cops won't bother you, but by god don't wear a mask and see what happens. You can literally crap in a police car and be released the next day to do it again, with no meaningful penalty.
The Health chick either needs to find a girlfriend and release some of that hostility OR she's getting her orders from somewhere else.
