Now this here upsets me. I cant believe someone would still use those old steel jaw type traps. They hurt to look at them. Poor animals. Shame on people for using them.

My dad has a bunch of them. He used them as decorations in his antique farm equipment decorating phase. More old cast iron on the fireplace than should be allowed by law.

I live on a 2 acre pond in Great Mills, and a couple of days ago a beaver showed up. I'm being told that he'll end up being a real menace...any info and/or suggestions?

But for real...wait and see if he causes a problem. If you see tree damage or any beaver activity, have him trapped a relocated.

Check out google.com and type in beaver deceiver. I saw these on tv not to long ago. It's a humane way to get the beaver to leave.

Get a live trap, catch him and relocate him to the stream in the flood zone on Chancellors run rd. There is already beavers and dams there.
