"He's the president elect"

And if you want to pretend that this election is still contested you are welcome to that fantasy. All but a few states have certified their votes. Biden won over 270 electors. He is president elect. That’s the way it has always worked.

You do realize congress can change certification anytime they want. Initial certification means nothing. Even though PA has certified their results, Alito stepped in and ordered all ballots received after election day to be segregated. This will allow for a future audit of those ballots. In MI Judge granted the Trump legal team access to 22 machines to audit and inspect those results. These are considered contested results that could result in a different outcome of that state's race.

Look, just because there’s ongoing lawsuits regarding the results, that doesn’t mean it’s contested. Idiots.

I honestly think these trolls are 5th or 6th graders. They can’t control their emotions and sure as hell don’t understand the basics of how elections are conducted. They also lack common sense.
Some of them might be adults by age, but clearly never entered the mainstream of life. Never owned anything..never took business risks..never supervised employees. Slugs like that have the luxury of being able to glom on to all sorts of political and social ideas that "sound good to them" without having the slightest clue how those things adversely impact people that actually work and produce the wealth those slugs want to squander in the first place.

certification means that the states have completed their certification process And are bound to select their electors according to their states rules. alito’s segregation of those ballots will not change the result in PA. The Michigan order is about a local marijuana referendum, not the presidential race....

let me know which congressmen are going to sponsor the bill to override the vote of the people

So? Trump not accepting the results doesn’t change reality. If Hillary had never conceded would that have meant trump was any less president elect?

Yes, actually. It would have. If Hillary had never conceded, Trump would not have been President Elect until Jan. 6 2016.

It’s the votes that matter, not the act of conceding.

They both matter when dealing with the semantics of title. However the votes from the electoral college are not tallied until Jan 6. That's when they become a matter of fact and we can properly refer to Biden as President Elect.

Edit:

Please note that this does not in anyway endorse Trump's stubborn refusal to yield. As with all things Trump, this comes off to me as his standard braggadocio and dick-waving. It looks like he views concession as weakness and will die before doing it. It is this attitude that I simultaneously somewhat admire and loathe in him. While, I can admire a refusal to yield in almost any circumstance, this particular fight comes off more of a petulant defiance rather than fighting the good fight.

It is the perfect microcosm of his presidency and quite probably his existence.

Yet every single trumperSter, and most importantly Trump himself, Would have been screaming that he was president elect and it was a vast conspiracy to ignore the results and override the vote of the people.

carry on with semantics

  1. I agree.
  2. I don't care.

That's a hypothetical non-event, while I'm discussing the actual, real reality.

Biden is not the ****ing President-Elect.

He's just not.

And why does anyone care, tbh? The President-Elect does not hold any more privileges or responsibilities that a presumptive president-elect has, and January 20th (the only date that really matters) won't get here any faster or slower based on Trump's acceptance of the results. It's ALL semantics at this point, and semantics are the only thing that can and will change in the near term.

There is no bill required. If a state's legislatures feels there are too many irregularities to accept the electors, they can appoint their own. This would force those electors to go to Washington for the final vote. If the congress feels there are still too many irregularities, they could refuse those electors, which could pull Biden below 270. If this happens, the vote goes to the house. Not every member in the house gets to vote. Only one vote per state. Currently of those who represent those states for that vote, the republicans hold the majority.

This is a constitutionally legal process. This is how it was designed to work in the event of contested states. This is where we are, and the process has to play out. There is nothing you or I or even Trump can do about it; unless, of course, he concedes - which he's not going to do.

Ok, so which state legislatures do you think are going to overturn their states voters?

in any case, you are pointing to something that isn’t going to happen to justify your outrage over Chris wallace calling joe biden president elect.

If Biden won the state by means of fraud then that is overturning the will if the people in said contested state. Are you ok with election fraud as long as it’s favorable for your candidate? A simple yes or no will suffice.

No. But Biden isn’t my candidate and there is no evidence that he won any state by means of fraud.
