We were lucky enough to be outside sitting on the porch when he first left the nest learning to fly. He was banging into everything and tryng to feed off of anything he could find. By day 2, he was much better, flying was much more in control.

I count 5 this morning all females and all fat and looking good.

George was the last one around a week ago he was just sitting on the feeder looking at me like he wanted to come in the house... no more sightings so I took down the feeders cleaned them and put them away for the winter.

They are still here or migrating through in Garden City, SC. Mostly females. I saw a male this morning sitting on the feeder for a couple minutes.

Just watched one surgically take down a piece of spider web and fly off with it, what's up with that?

Hadn't seen any for three or four days, then just a few minutes ago I had three. Refreshed the feeder, I guess these might be south-bound birds stopping to juice up.
