I was late because I lost my truck keys this morning and spent 20 min. looking for the blasted things and then I was speeding and got pulled over.. no big deal it was a 70 in a 30mph zone. It was an accident, I didn't realize the cop was sitting there. I'm thinking about saying I was testing out my new fuel pump when I get to court.
70 in a 30 - testing fuel pump, yeah, go for it. I bet he hits you with the original fine, the five points, and court costs.

You were doing 70 in a residential and it was no big deal...:twitch: In 2001 my hubbie turned his dumptruck over and 3 other cars got totalled because some dude was running late for work and decided it would be no big deal. Hubbie spent 3 days in the hospital and I wondered how I would explain it to my two kids if he didn't make it back home... guess I could of told them it was no big deal. :ohwell:

everyone speeds throught that area -- the cop was going to get the two cars in front of me and then he said I entered into the radar doing 70 and he went after me. It would have been more had he noticed I wasn't wearing my seatbelt - I was able to slip it on while pulling over. Sorry to hear about your husband.

The speeding was an accident or getting caught was an accident?

I generally "pass" dumptrucks when safe... I never cut them off :ohwell:

I almost got 10 days in jail for 90 in a 55. Only 35 over.

Really? I was doing 40 mph... I wonder now what my sentence will be :frown.

Generally, I do 90+ when its 55mp. I guess I should slow down some, they don't mess around about this speading stuff.
What was the fine $$ amount for that - did you get comm. serv. options:shrug:

BTW Dems, I need to explain the accident thing to you. An accident is when something "beyond your control" happens. IE: You are driving along and a meteor crashes through your car and kills you. THAT is an accident since you had no control over the meteor.
Going 70 in a 30 is not beyond your control. You willfully broke the law and it was no accident.

"How do you almost get", did you blow the Judge just prior to the verdict?

No jackarse I had to appeal the sentance and come back with a lawyer. Took a driver improvement course between hearings and got off with a $1000 fine. The first sentance was $1000, 10 days in jail and having my license suspended for 90 days.

But dems didn't really mean it so she will probably only have to do 8 hours of community service.

Dear Dems,

Please find my thread about insurance companies and read it. When you get to the part about the jackasses who drive like morons and cause all us decent peoples insurance to skyrocket please insert your name.

If I were a judge the "oral argument" that DoWhat suggested would have worked for me.

 Not being one to normally see degrees of violation I would have to say doing 75 in a 65 on an interstate is HUGELY FREAKING DIFFERENT than 70 in a 30.

Now I will refrain from replying further because you will cry and twist your moronic BS and screwball denial about what you did, into me beong mean to you for no reason. But trust me if I hurt your feelings you numb-headed goober it was just an "accident" :huggy: :duh:

P.S. I think they should yank your license and let you ride a bus for a while until you understand what a privledge you lost.
