You presume, Bob, that a bike is at the top of my priority list for "must haves". Unfortunately, for you, it isn't. Although the idea of cruising on a BMW F650 down a scenic road on a beautiful fall afternoon with you at my side does sound very appealing, there are about five things that I'd really much rather have first.

1) an addition to the house

6 car garage, plenty of room for bikes and tech days :yay:

Has Bob shared with you my love of remodeling???? The only thing better then building stuff, is building stuff with someone else's money!! Draw up the plans and lets get to work!!

Bob, which niece is in Georgia. If it' s Liz, what the heck is she doing there??

Have toolbelt, will travel.

Lizard Breath is at Ft Grodon GA.. yes, another Army Base for our little sailor.. she went to DLI (Monterey) to learn Farsi, and when she got to the aircrew school she didn't pass the eye exam, so there she is stationed in GA.. Now we have a trilingual niece who still can't get an overseas assignment to save her life.

I am going to have to look at these bikes. While I really like the cruiser harley looking bikes, I'm not liking my new bike very much.
Anytime you want to come over and take mine for a ride, I'll lower the seat for you.. AND I'll even let you wear one of my helmets so you can jam to XM..

I grew up 25 miles south of Ft. Gordon.
A little too warm down there for me.. I spent three weeks in FL in Jul/Aug one year, friggin MISERABLE. I like it here just fine.

Niece did pick up a sizable house dirt cheap, think it's 4 BR 2.5 Bath on a nice lot.. I don't know how much she paid, but on an E-5 salary, I'm thinking not too much. She's a smart girl, and saw how much money she was wasting paying rent, and since the Navy is paying her housing.. she decided she HAD to buy.

I'm glad to see someone has some confidence in me. :lmao: Thanks, Bob. I may take you up on that. :huggy: It has to be warm outside, though.

Seriously, ya don't know what you are missing. I find this time of year much more enjoyable to ride in then July or August. The bike sems to be running better in the cooler air, the quiet, lack of bugs.. just want to relax and enjoy a nice ride. It gets a little chilly in the 40's, but anything above 50 is NICE!!

I could do above 50 with my new chaps and probably below 50. I haven't ridden with them on yet.

Chaps are stylin' but not really more than a wind break. Getting out of the cruiser mode opened up a new world of riding gear. Love the First Gear overpants. Easy off and on, padding (or armor) in the hips and knees and a removable thinsulate liner for cold days. Liner will probably go in next week  High's are supposed to only be in the low 40's.

I haven't put the pants on yet, but they are in my side case just in case.

The FBI is looking for Farsi speakers...There was a report in the Post a few weeks ago about the lack of Farsi & Arabic speakers in all the alphabet agencies.

They were nice monday morning riding to work in the fog. I would have shown up at work with a wet crotch if I'd been wearing chaps
