People like you make me sick. You know what, I recall hearing just a few weeks ago that they have found proof that WMD did exist in Iraq, but of course that isn't gonna be the main focus of the nightly news because it would prove that we're there for a legitimate reason. All :bs: aside, it's a humanity issue. Yes, innocent people have died at our hands in Iraq, but it's nowhere near the amount of innocent people that died at Saddam's hand when he was in power. I couldn't care less about WMD at this point, because they aren't the only ones who have/don't have them. I care about the fact that we have taken one of the most evil rulers of our time and turned him into a blithering fool, cowering at the bottom of a hole and giving himself up because he's scared of the good ole USA. Do you know how many lives we have saved by taking away his power? Just because it doesn't benefit your dumb ass directly doesn't mean it's not a good cause.

I'm sure that before last year you gave a rat's patoot about the Iraqi people, you cried at the maltreatment of the Kurds, you wept as the Sunnis & Shi'ites killed each other. You were really concerned about Saddam being a big meanie, you called your congressman every day about it. Come on, get real, nobody here gave a flying fudge about Iraq until dumbya started rattling his sword.

I didn't say it wasn't atrocious, I just said a military member can reasonably figure he might get killed in a war, it could be enemy fire, it could be friendly fire, it could be run over by a humvee or it could be being captured. A marine is told this from day one, it doesn't make it right, it is part of the job, like a cop or a fireman, you can get killed doing it. If it does happen, I would just hope it to be as quick and painless as possible.
No, my daddy wasn't a liberal. He said if you walk away when provoked it will only cause more and more provoking and taunting. He did say knock the crap out of them the first time and they will know you mean buisiness and stop scrwing with you. That is where we have taken a wrong turn here. We have been the biggest sissy-boy super power way too long.

You tout diplomacy? Well those 7,000 Iraqi casualties could have been avoided if Sadam had capitulated to the UN demands and stopped playing bad ass. I figure those casualties are his doing. We made it very clear what we were going to do and we did it. We even gave them a dress rehersal in 91.

You would be a fool to walk away from a combatant who was going to smack you in the back of the head with a bat as soon as you turned around.

Don't you ever get tired of being wrong? I've had many conversations with people about how we screwed Iraq after the Gulf War and what should be done. Most of these conversations took place during the Clinton administration. Iraq has been at the forefront of American political debate since the Iraq/Iran War. Stop being a retard.

No you didn't, unless you went to the same church as Osama bin Laden. Christians turn the other cheek like Jesus instructed.

Just one more thing you're wrong about.

Kind of like name calling or disparaging one's ancestors?

It's called "calling something or someone by their rightful name". If you take offense at being properly labeled, maybe you should give some serious thought to how you present yourself.

You all make me feel so good, nothing like educated discussion of the issues that affect our daily lives.

The above mentioned Marine doesn't affect you at all! Wasn't that your whole point?

I like the way you pull the "educated discussions" card when you are getting kicked in the ass all day. I would say that is retarded.

jlabsher, What do you know about being a marine?

As a former member of the 3rd Mar. Div., I will be more than happy to explain it to you, anytime, anywhere!
