...or just a squawking Parrot. Came out of the gutter, found Jesus, and wants to condemn the the Religion that started it all....

The faithful died for Jesus and the people who didn't die took over the Church. Satan couldn't beat the church so he joined it.

I thought it was just me and my limited knowledge of religion. But, good grief, Chuck is way out there and beyond!

That is an interpretation.

Exactly, as is yours. One of many, which is why the rest of your post is pointless. I can justify what I believe with scripture and all the Greek and Latin in the world you can handle and you can say I'm wrong, and we can go back and forth throwing scripture at each other like monkeys throw feces, but do you really want to treat the Word of God like that? As an Evangelical, I'm pretty sure that you believe everyone can interpret scripture for themselves, so why are you continually telling people how to do it and what to believe?

I pretty much asked this previously and you conveniently ignored it and chose instead to tell me how to think (ironic, no?):
Heck man, if you desire people to think for themselves, then stop trying to teach them something and let them interpret scripture for themselves. I mean, you do believe in interpreting scripture for oneself, right? So why are you being a hypocrite?

The faithful died for Jesus and the people who didn't die took over the Church. Satan couldn't beat the church so he joined it.

Some would say Satan did that in 1520 through Martin Luther. Just sayin'. :coffee:

I'm glad you had a good time at Church. I really am glad for you.

The problem is that the Mormon and the Jehovah Witness will say the same thing. They will say they enjoy worshiping God, they will claim their Church is Christian, they will have a grand old time.

Hmm...but he didn't say God, he said Jesus. You sure the LDS would worship Jesus?

Unfortunately you have to follow what God says about being born again rather than what an imperfect Church says wrongly about salvation.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

You can't be baptized to be saved because baptism represents death (Romans 6:4).

Hmmm....baptism...down into the water REPRESENTS death, but up out of the water REPRESENTS life. Yes? Is it fair to take one word out of one verse to establish a theology? Where is your context? PS - this seems a common theme with you.

Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Matthew 7:24 ¶ Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Matthew 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Matthew 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Matthew 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

btw - I am still waiting for my invite to your church...

He did join the church. Satan was in the upper room with Judas and Judas betrayed Jesus.
Read your Bible and then you wouldn't be saying, "seriously?"
Satan is the god of this world and Jesus didn't argue with Satan.
Satan offered him all the kingdoms of the world if Jesus would bow down and worship him.

It is right there in the link in Matthew 4:4 and Jesus didn't argue with Satan.
Satan was really trying to trade his job as the anti-Christ with Jesus if you think about it.

My Bible agrees with me. Your theology does not agree with the Bible.

Am I supposed to provide on the job training for you to argue with me?

You're actually wrong because He's been here in Genesis 3 and Jude 1:6 where it says the angels left their first estate.
Satan has been here earlier than what you say.

Amazing, you get the Gospel of John saying that Satan enters into Judas and drives him to betray Jesus and from there you say that Satan entered the Catholic Church. You are a fraud, a liar, and seek to be a false prophet.

Fixed.

We were talking about the church were we not? Now when you say Satan entered Judas and Judas being an apostle is part of the church then, believe it or not, I totally agree with you. But some people happen to believe Satan entered again with Martin Luther and a few other times in church history. There have been quite a few Judas' over the years. We would all be wise to self reflect and make sure it's not us, eh? Are you chaffe, chuckt?

Psst...you still haven't answered my previous question. :tap:

Look, Jackass, I've told you, you do NOT know my theology. I do not want or need any of your training. I'm sure I could be a pompous ass on my own. You said that Satan entered the Catholic church, quit backpedaling and at least have the fortitude to stand up for your beliefs, be forthright and answer questions straight up.

Ahhhh, never mind. You can't. If you can't carry on an intelligent discussion with Radiant, there's nothing I can do.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
http://biblehub.com/2_corinthians/4-4.htm

2 Corinthians 4:4 says the god of this world blinds the minds of people who don't believe and it uses the word "lest" which means "they might not" see the light of the glorious gospel which would save them. The real God wouldn't blind you so the little god with a little "g" has to be "Satan".

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

http://biblehub.com/revelation/12-9.htm

"Deceiveth" is a present active participle. If the Catholic Bible is true then what has the devil deceived you of? The whole world includes you and me so the devil has deceived you of something.

cheezgrits: "You said that Satan entered the Catholic church, quit backpedaling and at least have the fortitude to stand up for your beliefs, be forthright and answer questions straight up." - Chuckt, you cannot support your accusation so you throw some quotes up, pathetic. Show where you can prove the Catholic Church was entered by Satan. But you can't. Stop pretending your tin-foil-hat conceived fantasies fueled by your hatred of Catholics are the Gospel.

What has "the devil" deceived you of, chuck? I know one way in which you've been deceived. If you ask, I'll be more than happy to tell you. :huggy:
