Yeshua was Jewish and the first several thousand men, women and children who believed in Yeshua's Messianic appearance were all Jewish.

"Christianity" is a Jewish sect; it's just that your disagreement with who Yeshua was/is only means that you prescribe to Orthodox Judaism that still awaits two Moshiachs.

I am not completely clear, but i believe there is a world of difference between believing in Jesus as a Messiah, and what my faith believes.

Its a little more detailed than a simple disagreement

If you are Jewish (which I believe you) then you would know about the Two Moshiachs which Orhtodox Judaism is expectant of:
1.) Moshiach ben Yosef, who arrives and is killed
2.) Moshiach ben David who will establish God's Peace on earth.

This means that for Orthodox Judaism that there are more troubling times of tribulations ahead for Israel before peace can ever reign in Jerusalem.

For those of Messianic belief in Yeshua, He was/is Moshiach ben Yosef who will return as Moshiach ben David - but not until antichrist appears.

There are good people in the world of all beliefs. Fact is, the majority of people are good. But the key word is people not religion. Religion is a weapon used again others who believe differently than them. This difference has caused more death and distruction than any other cause in the world. I cringe at the thought of a religious person in the White House. They will base their decisions on a belief system that is flawed. If they base their decision on inspiration from god then they should be instutionalized for having voices in their heads. If you take the bible as the word of god then shouldn't we be killing our doctors, nurses, police officers, etc. for working on Sunday? So much of the bible actually condones putting others to death. It's nothing I'd ever want to live with in my heart. To those of you who refuse to even look at the movie it only shows how afraid you are about logical thought. The belief in god only represses logical thought. Too bad for you. Here's another link from the show West Wing. Perhaps you can pass on this one also.

And, yes, Yeshua would approve of my testifying of His Deity and knowing that it falls upon the deaf ears of scoffers who ridiculed Him and hated Him without a cause. Yeshua did not make sweeping and false generalizations when He warned His followers that they would be hated and scoffed at and persecuted just as He was hated, scoffed at and persecuted.
And, yes, we are also told that we would be killed by those who think they are doing a service for God.

Biblical Prophecy is a "warning" of things to come. Mankind's hatred for God and each other will ultimately take us to the brink of world destruction. Mankind has been given time to decide whether to trust in God or himself for the answer to peace. Peace begins in the heart of each individual but then again not every wants to cooperate with what Yeshua suggested.
