True dat :yay:
I've got a pair of the lined deerskin gauntlets and elk skin ropers from aerostich. BIG difference between how they feel and the cheapies from Lowes. Some (most?) of their gloves come with a little strip of silicone rubber sticking out of the side seam on the left hand index finger.
Faceshield wiper.

icon just came out with some nice ones too. Seen them in JPcycles. They LOOK nice. I'm still not sold on Icon's quality yet though.

Got the vest yesterday, it comes with a 2 gal. plastic zip-lock bag useful for soaking the vest and storing it while it's wet.

Don't whip out your pocket knife and slice the package open :ohwell:

How did it fit?
Not very well. Very tall bike. I am 6 ft tall with a 31 inch inseam and even with bootswith a thick sole I could still not flat foot it stopped.

Very spongy ride, you would think with 240lbs of me squishing it, it would ride firmer, not so.

Front end dive when brakes were applied was terrible.

It is a cold blooded bike, even in 90 degree temps it took 10 minutes to warm up.

The handlebars were teeny, felt like I was holding onto pencils.

Not very powerful. Had more umph than my RK but not scary power I was thinking it would be.

The suspension is VERY adjustable, and easy at that. knob under the seat stiffens the ride. Front shocks are adjustable too. And they have a lower seat available.

Buells don't ever really "warm up" till you learn to ride them like they were built...ride it like you stole it, and it runs like a champ. It took me a short while to learn that about mine.

BUT, your comments are on target with most of the reviews...just lacking the parts about how fun it is to ride.

And I don't understand how you can say it's not very powerful. 100+hp and nearly 100 ft-lbs of torque for a bike that weighs nearly 2/3's as much as your road King. I think you just need more seat time. It's a higher revving engine than the RK. I wasn't there to see how you rode it, but I just don't understand how you couldn't have felt the power...even with your "240 lb" butt on there.

I hope the front can be tightened up, the dive during braking was horrible. Part of it was on a low traffic road then the rest was in traffic. It was a loner bike so I didn't want to brake the little thing but it just didn't have rip roaring power. I actually tried to pop a wheelie and couldn't do it  Probably more lack of talent than lack of power. :lmao:

My partner said I looked goofy on it too :killingme:

 You don't have to try to do wheelies on those. They do it by themselves in first gear, by just rolling on the throttle...cruise at about 2000rpm, then crack the throttle and the front comes right up. 2nd and 3rd gear wheelies work with a little clutch. I've never done it and thats prolly a good thing. I'd hate to see THAT ticket...passing a cop on two wheels is bad enough.

I'll let ya take the firebolt out. it's shorter, and it wheelies pretty easily. I did it with my 240lb cousin on the back...though...I think it was more his fat ass ON the back that CAUSED the wheelie then anything else. :lmao:

Hope the one I ordered gets here faster than yours did. Need to have it in hand by Friday evening.

Probably  I do know that a half helmet all hunched over like that causes a lot of wind noise.
I realized why Harley riders all cruise so slow after riding with a half helmet on the ohter day. Anything over about 60 is down right uncomfortable..

It isn't bad if you have a real widscreen.

Naaah, what's the point of riding a bike if you're not in the wind??
Jezz -o- me, Ok so what is it, half helmet and a windshield or no wind shield and cocoon on your head? Your sensitive ears handle one or the other?
