Thanks, I realized that while driving to PA to spend the day with the grandkids. I'm working on it now. It is processing.

I just watched it for the first time since I recorded it. Yes, I'm sniffling in the background. I admit it.
There's no shame in that. :huggy:

I'm never able to get thru a moving ceremony without some emotion. Funeral ceremonies are without a doubt the hardest, and this is going to be much, much harder to witness.

The brotherhood is very strong amongst these firefighters. Both career and volunteers, but in particular the volunteers in our 3 counties. They turn out strong for one of their own.

Thing2 was there with his VFD from Calvert - in attendance and then stationed at one of the many intersections along the processional.

I attended the Fireman's Prayers Service last night with a friend. HFVD was at capacity and then some. It was quite a moving ceremony. The livestreamed ceremony & processional today was very emotional, as well.

RIP young man.

I wanted to add that my friend and I parked at the RC Movies and took one of the school buses that were there to shuttle folks to and from the HFVD yesterday and today. We talked to the drivers and they were ALL volunteering their time. I thought that was just totally awesome and very heartwarming, and I told them so. (and thanked them all)

I'm so very sad that he gave his life in the service of others, but as was said many times last night & in the service today - he was doing what he loved to do and felt called to do. What an honorable man he was.

As the mother of young firefighter (28), (both career and volunteer) I have to say that it was just overwhelming to see the outpouring of support, love and respect for Brice, his family and all of his fellow firefighters. So much love and respect these past 10 days. I'm very proud of our southern Maryland community. ❤️

I watched the procession out of my 3rd floor office window.
