Boy thats some story Mike44

I have been a customer of DVT since they opened for buisness say a year or so ago. I have nothing but good to say about this shop. I have always been treated fairly if not better than the oher shops in the area. With respect to your situation (Mike), I think you didnt tell the truth here (at all). I spoke with the owner of DVT last night about your case and he states something entirly different than what you say. Of course there is two sides to every story, in fact I remember your bike when it was in there (An old broken up Yamaha) that needed way more than just a battery, starter, tire combo. In fact DVT went way over the top to help you without any charge.

The owner of DVT has made some recent changes in managment to better serve his customers from what I was told last weekend. If you people out there dont belive me than stop by the shop and talk to RABO. He will let you know the real deal. Oh also you can contact the BBB or better buisness and ask them. Im sure you will be surprised to here what they have to say.

I'm not taking my bikes to anyone named RABO.

Dude took a Yamaha to a Harley shop? Do they even have metric tools?

Helped a neighbor change his alternator belt on his Toyota a couple of days ago. He was having trouble with a nut and I asked what size socket he was using and he says 9/16ths :yikes:

Actually 19/32 is within a few thousanths of and inch to a 15MM, which is very common on cars/trucks. If the guy drives a Toyota, then his tools probably aren't Snap On, and his Advanced Auto 9/16 just may fit.

It's not nice to make fun of people's bikes.

9/16 works pretty well on a 14mm. 1/2 works good on a 13mm.

It was a 14mm, but if you own iron from the land of the rising sun, you ought to own metric tools.

?

I have heard both good and bad things about this place, I am fairly new here and I also own a motorcycle and I am looking for the best in town along with great prices. Did you ever get a chance to meet the owner or would he never speak to you? Why was his daughter in the middle of it? I'm trying to get my pro's and con's together with this shop because I read your quote and then there is someone else's that say they love them and I don't want to get screwed.

I would have to say that the best shop in town overall would be Moti-Vation in Mechanicsville. Of course if you dont mind paying high dollar for Harley repairs, then you can take it to All American or TANS. Each of the small shops are trying to make ends meet and so thier prices on parts can be elevated, labor per hour can be anywhere from $50.00 - $125.00 depending on the job. Since I still prefer to ride a metric,GOLDWING to be exact I have chose to purchase the mechanics books and work on issues myself. When it comes to the onboard computer and upgrading the chips, I have found others in the club world that have the computer for upgrading. Throw caution to the wind when seeking qualified mechanics to work on older bikes. Seems that the schools are turning out more mechanics for the crotch rockets then cruisers.

Is your nephew a mechanic or something? I'm getting so confused with this story because it seems you may know the family or something? Sorry if I am not posting these correctly, this sight is new to me.
