I'm GUESSING a 2005 Harley.. I could be wrong though..aps45819 said:What type/brand do you ride and what area do you live in?
Who in their right mind would take a Metric to a shop called Dr V-Twin?? Or was it a Yamaharley?mike44md said:Yes met with the owner several times from when he opened the shop till I had my last visit there. He would become very irate when I questioned him about why my bike was never running each time I came in. The owner did not work on the bike, he hired a metric mechanic for my bike which was the 1st in the shop. He fired the mechanic while my bike was still in pieces. I know the family, and this has nothing to do with the family while the daughter thinks it does, this is business. If I drove any vehicle, car, boat, bike into any shop and had to have it towed out, then there is a prb, someones ignorance in dealing with the prb doesn't make it go away, it just fuels my determination to have it corrected. Bottom line, if I was the only one, then they could say there is a personal issue, however if you heard negatives before my post, then you have to make your own decisions on where you want to take your bike. They may have good mechanics to work on Harleys, however even those in the clubs I ride with have had negative things to say. Id say learn to do your own work to save time and money, besides there are mechanics out here that will work on piece work if you take the items to them. Just ask any 1% club member where they take thier bike... bet you will be surprised...

Is your nephew the one that was fired? Is that why he won't ever marry into the family? Is that why the daughter is bringing the family issue in it? She seems to have a lot to do with this issue? I do ride an 05 Fatboy. What club do you ride with? I wouldn't mind getting involved in a riding club since I'm new around here. By the way v-twin is an engine and there are other bikes besides Harley's that have v-twin engines. I'm not sure who wrote the quote but just wanted to state that.mike44md said:Lessoned learned spongebob,,, the hard way.... ie: note to self, work on own bike

I look down at other bikes, but only because my V Strom has a 32 inch seat heightonebdzee said:I don't "look down at metric bikes"....I don't look down on any bike and neither do the people that I ride with....
PrchJrkr said:Actually 19/32 is within a few thousanths of and inch to a 15MM, which is very common on cars/trucks. If the guy drives a Toyota, then his tools probably aren't Snap On, and his Advanced Auto 9/16 just may fit.
19/32 does not equal 9/16 there is a 1/32 difference or .03125 inch. The difference between the 15mm and the 19/32 is that the 19/32 is .003 inch larger.Dougstermd said:yeah right

8mm=5/16"
13mm=1/2"
19/32 = 9/16"
I actually had someone argue with me today while we were changing oil in the fleet trucks that the oil plug was not 15mm it was 19/32![]()
