Mail Fraud - Stolen Checks!

True, but some vendors tack on an extra couple of percent for using a credit card. On a large invoice, that could be substantial. Either way, whatever works for a particular application.
3.5% is typical. For several years we were "forced" to accept CC payments from a defense contractor/supplier that we sold our equipment to. That 3.5% really hurts when yr talking about $200,000.00 CC payments!

TWICE in the last 7 months checks going to major financial companies (related to IRA distributions/accts etc)...NEVER made it. One was even registered.
I really had no idea the USPS had slipped into a 3rd world fraud system...until I remembered this thread.
Anyone else struggling with the reliability of mail to financial organizations?
I had to cancel a check in one instance...and delayed the entire enrollment process in the other for over 4 weeks.

Its infuriating and the penalties ought to be enormous for the thieves/incompetents that do this.😡

I have had to cancel one check in the last 6 months because it didn't make it to it's destination - a vendor, not a financial institution. I've had a couple of checks mailed to Breezline in the last 3 or 4 months that were weeks late getting there. The one for April did make it on time finally.

USPS is nothing but an organized crime operation. Nothing but.

April 14 I put a completely stamped and addressed envelope to the IRS in my mailbox with the flag up for pick up. April 19th I checked my mail. That effing envelope was STILL in my mailbox, along with other incoming mail. Thing is, that envelope was not on the bottom under the new mail, it was right on top! That leads me to believe that the friggin carrier had to have seen it.

That's messed up. I've gotten to the point where I don't leave outgoing mail in my mailbox. I take it to the Post Office lobby slots.

I don't use USPS for anything, unless I buy something from eBay and it's the only option available. As big as eBay has become, maybe it's time for them to expand as well. Think Amazon.

I try not to mail anything at all and if I mail a greeting card to someone I would never put a check in it, and I always hope that the greeting card makes it but sometimes they don't so I assume that's because somebody stole it out of the mail stack to see if it had money in it and it didn't so I guess they threw it in the trash?
