Misquoting Jesus

Stop listening to foolishness

Folks, the person who wrote about many deceiving and quotes Scripture as if he knows anything is someone who professed not to believe in Scripture... therefore everything he says is to discredit Scripture. He knows nothing of God or judgment day but will like all - he will experience it. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life and no man cometh unto the Father except through me."
Not all roads lead to heaven and those who say they do only want to believe this in order to feel good about themselves. This person will come back with a bunch of jibberish about Scripture and try to make me look foolish or intolerant... whatever, you know I believe in the truth of Scripture and you know jpc doesn't. A person who doesn't believe will never tell the truth or know the truth about a subject they don't believe in.
I write this not to debate, but rather to defend those who might think this guy actually knows something about God's word... he doesn't and has confessed it by saying it is not true. Therefore, let him babble... and go to the source of the word.
As to judgement day: "Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so Amen." [Rev. 1.7 NKJV] Not believing it doesn't change what has been written... experts of today weren't there when it was written over 2,000 years ago therefore go to the source instead of listening to those who want to change it for their benefit or comfort.

I try to remain as respectful as I possibly can but I think God want us to not only try to keep reaching people but also disclaim any false teachings. 2A brought this up a while back and basically said that we can't just let JPC's babble go out there unchallenged. Most can see through his ridiculous claims, but in the event someone doesn't, they have to have the truth.

You'll have to ask JPC that one. He loves that word.

He also loves the word deadbeat. Check out JPC's link Fred.

Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

And anyone not found written in the Book of LIfe was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:11-15

Disproves your theory.
:whistle:That does not say that people were cast in but it says "Death and Hades" suffered their "second death" and not torture of people in Hell fire.

The "Lake of fire" works for repentance and not for punishment.

The Apostle Paul explains the second death as he himseld died to sin link HERE and that is the second death and the last death because then comes eternal life.

We must use the entire Bible and not small scare tactics.:diva:

What does orthodoxy have to do with anything said???? Sounds like jiberish to make one sound wise...
:buddies: The reference to Orthodoxy is because the niaeve Satan groups do follow the Orthodox beliefs about "Satan" like Satan rules over Hell (which he does not) and that Satan is completely evil (which is not from the any scripture) and some even have the foolish notion of a red creature with horns and a pointed tail which is absurd Christian Orthodoxy about Satan and it is not correct.

Therefore the Satanic groups are still a part of the Orthodox beliefs.:coffee:

Please stop using the Bible as a reference to your delusional beliefs. By not accepting what it says as 100% true, you inturn reject it as a whole.

Interesting.... evil is our language... Satan's name in Greek (New Testament language) is "Poneros" of which means: labor, sorrow, pain, evil in a moral or spiritual sense; wicked, malicious, mischievious; Satan is the author of all poneros [Mat. 6.13 and Eph. 6.6]
As to orthodoxy... that is man made and traditional... let us lean and learn only from the truthful Scriptures - for religion is not the way to God but rather religion is man's way to achieve God. We cannot "achieve" or reach God. He reached down to us in love by coming in flesh and dieying on the cross and so paid our penalty. He rose on the third day and so we too can live if we confess His name and believe that God raised Him from the dead. All other ways or knowledge does not lead to God. All religions are not Godly...

 The Greek word "poneros" means evil, but the name "Satan" means adversary.

So "Fred" did not give that post quite correctly.:otter:

Also "Fred" said Matthew 6:13 which is deliver us from evil and not from Satan link HERE.

And the Ephesians 6:6 is irrelevant to "Fred's" point but he gave it anyway link HERE.

We must strive to be correct and accurate or else we end up wrong as done in the above quoted post.

I responded with truth... you come from yourself... read the Greek and you will understand if you want to understand. If Satan is poneros then God deliver us from poneros. God does not need to deliver us from evil... He did this on the cross. He promises (as we ask) to deliver us from the evil one (Poneros)... you have no discernment of Scripture because you believe not. Eph 6.16, not 6.6 my error, sorry my fingers type incorrectly at times.

Just for giggles... Satan means adversary in Greek or in your language?

1. Satanas is derived from Aramaic... means adversary and all that is encompassed of evil
2. Diabolos is Greek and another name for Satan or the Devil... means dividing or to cast against
3. Poneros is Greek and third name for Satan or the Devil.... meaning all forms of evil.

I believe this might fit your description really well since you seem to think Satan is not evil: John 8.44

:coffee: Well I gave the specific words,

and I gave the language the words came from,

and I gave the direct meaning of those same words,

and I gave a link to each of the words as proof.

But that poster "Fred" did not, and Fred's words just do not match up with his claims.

I gave the Word of God. Your links must be investigated because you are really out there on the wrong team. Folks, you don't need a link - just a copy of the Word and hey, I'll give you one if you need it. Your quietness on Scripture and truth I gave you speaks volumes at this point.
