Go find a report from some responsible news organization... Why isn't this on FOX - it's big news, right? Surely FOX is covering the showdown in the USSC regarding the president elect...

Where on the USSC docket does it say that the Supremes have demanded a copy of Obama's birth certificate? It doesn't.

The whole "USSC demands Obama's BC" is without support, other than the fantastical speculations of partisan "detectives" out in the blogosphere.

I'll ask again, why isn't FOX reporting that the USSC has demanded Obama's BC? I mean, that is HUGE news... How could FOX not be reporting something this important???? Because it's fantasy, that's why.

That's baloney. Just because you read it on a blog somewhere doesn't make it true... Actually, just because you read it on a blog somewhere most likely means it's false.

You cannot get yourself a BC that says you were born in Miami, FL when you were actually born in Barcelona, Spain. It doesn't matter where you were born, or if your parents are US citizens... If you weren't born in Miami, then FL records will NOT indicate such, and FL will NOT issue a certificate that says you were born in Miami. It's just that simple.

I didn't get this info from any blog. Personal experience says so. There is a difference between a long form BC and a certificate of live birth.

All that shows is that a petiton for a writ of certiorari was filed, with approval or disapproval of such due on December 1st. Four of the nine judges would be required to approve it.

December 1st is when the Supreme Court will either approve or disapprove the writ. Not a deadline for Obama to provide a birth certificate.



Seriously. If the Supreme court had requested Obama show proof of anything, it would probably show up in the news somewhere.

Mr. Berg has been receiving phone calls today asking for a copy of "the order from the Supreme Court requiring that Obama produce his citizenship documentation."

Mr. Berg has not received notification of any such order or anything similar to it, nor is it posted on the Supreme Court website.

This must be regarded as an unfounded rumor until it appears on the Supreme Court website or Mr. Berg receives notification.

If and when the Court does issue such an order, we will post it immediately.

There does appear to be a petition before SCOTUS; however, that docket record does not indicate that any member of SCOTUS has directed Obama to provide a Birth Certificate by December 1, 2008. That was just speculation written in 'The Valley Truth' article.

What that docket record indicates is that anyone who wishes to file a response to the petition (e.g. a cross-petition or an opposition to the petition) has 30 days to do so. This is standard operating procedure for SCOTUS. No one is required to file a response, but if they want to they have 30 days (except in cases when a response is filed in support of the petition, in which case the time limit is usually 20 days). It looks like SCOTUS has taken no action on this petition except to place it on the docket, as would be SOP. They did deny the application for injunction that accompanied the petition, which makes sense, since time would have been of the essence for that.

I have no opinion on the merits of this issue in general, just clarifying what something means.

Are you really in that much of denial that this is about BO's BC? And, you're right, at this point it is only Souter that is putting this on the docket. And I have already stated that I have serious doubts it will go anywhere. I don't think the USSC wants to touch it. Not because it lacks evidence (I don't know if this is the case at this point or not); but because they realize the chaos it would create if there were any truth to it or not. I have no confidence in our courts (at every level).
