TIA.
He's got no links. Just like the bunch a losers in congress trying desperately to pin something, anything, on Trump that sticks that makes him look bad in hopes that he won't get re-elected. If anything, this impeachment farce should expose the utter corruption in Washington. They are playing a very dangerous game, because from what we've seen, Trump is very protective of his self image and there WILL be hell to pay for these lying bastards wasting our money on this crap. They should all go back to work like they were elected to do, but they've dug themselves in too deep to turn back now. I can't wait for this mockery of justice to end and watch the heads start to roll.

Friday's World-Historical News Dump Is Proof the Impeachment Probe Must Continue

Stop the news, I want to get off. Chapter Two.

This was the Friday news dump to end all news dumps, the news dump equivalent of that giant barge full of garbage from New York that couldn’t find a home back in 1987. In rough order, it was reported:
  1. That Lev Parnas, one of Rudy Giuliani’s Volga Bagmen who now sits under federal indictment, has indicated that he can put Rep. Devin Nunes, the famous White House lawn ornament, in the middle of the effort to concoct the Ukrainian Fantasy about the ratfcking of the 2016 election.
  2. That the inspector general of the Department of Justice will produce his report on December 9, and early reports are that, while it will be critical of sloppiness in the FBI, it will state that there was no bias against the president* in how the FBI investigation into the involvement of the Russian ratfckers was launched. Not that this will do anything to silence the screeching of the flying monkeys, but it pretty conclusively slams the door on the notion that the previous administration’s concern for the Trump campaign and Russia was the manifestation of some sort of dark manipulation based on inherent bias.
  3. That The New York Times reports that the intelligence community has concluded that the entire Ukrainian Fantasy about the ratfcking of the 2016 election is an intercontinental okey-doke perpetrated by the Russian intelligence services.
In a briefing that closely aligned with Dr. Hill’s testimony, American intelligence officials informed senators and their aides in recent weeks that Russia had engaged in a yearslong campaign to essentially frame Ukraine as responsible for Moscow’s own hacking of the 2016 election, according to three American officials. The briefing came as Republicans stepped up their defenses of Mr. Trump in the Ukraine affair.
4) That a massive release of State Department documents in response to a Freedom of Information Act request ropes in practically everyone, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, in the effort to smear former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovich, in order to get her out of the way so that the shakedown might proceed. This, of course, involves Rudy Giuliani, because anything that’s screwed up about this administration now involves Rudy Giuliani.

You have to admit. That’s one helluva Friday.

Beyond the obvious conclusions—that the president* is guilty as hell, and he is using as his primary defense a disinformation project devised in Moscow, and, in the interest of advancing the latter, he tried to shakedown a vulnerable ally under literal siege by the military forces of the government that dreamed up the president*’s primary alibi—this sudden avalanche of information fairly screams out for the inquiry to play out as it will play out, and that short-circuiting its process is both bad detective work and bad politics.
Just on Friday, we learned that Nunes and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo were roped into this mess, too. It’s nowhere near time for the garbage barge to make port. Sail on, brothers and sisters. Sail on.

If Mr. Pierce doesn't understand the difference between "historic" and "historical" we're not off to a good start. As in, everything is "historical," only some things are "historic."

He may be absolutely correct in everything he writes, but he self-sabotages right off the bat with his word-choice faux pas.

This makes for good reading (from a reserve AF Lt Col who is also a State Dept lawyer):

A snip from near the end (but, please, click over and read the whole thing (after you wake up from the Thanksgiving spread coma!)):
Under the legal doctrine of combatant immunity, members of a nation’s armed forces who fight openly and lawfully — including wearing recognizable attire — cannot be held liable for committing warlike acts. Simply put, war is state-sanctioned murder, and the uniform helps clarify who has the right to engage in it and who doesn’t.

This privilege does not extend to political combat. But some media-savvy officers, from Lt. Col. Oliver North 30 years ago to Lt. Col. Vindman today, nonetheless assert a form of immunity in the public arena. Their message is clear: Back off; I’m an officer. My patriotism, truthfulness, objectivity, nonpartisanship, and righteousness are beyond reproach. Military pomp becomes a proxy for selfless purity.

If only that were always the case. Courts-martial would be open and shut, if not obsolete altogether. There would certainly be no need for cross-examination since every uniformed witness would be telling the truth.

Military credentials, like all accoutrements of power, can be leveraged to convey authority and elicit admiration, especially from those who have never served. This is precisely why service regulations prohibit wearing the uniform in personal litigation — the judge or jury must evaluate the evidence, not the number of ribbons on a plaintiff’s chest.

Patriotism may be the last refuge of the scoundrel, but hiding behind ribbons, awards, or diplomas comes in a close second.

One more humorous bit on Vindman (from yesterday's Kurt Schlichter column):

They think the optics of the Schiff hearings were great. They weren’t great. Yeah, let’s get a bunch of Deep State suits to come in and explain how the guy we elected to shake up the foreign policy elite’s decades of utter failure is bad because he is shaking up the foreign policy elite’s decades of utter failure. And then you have That’s Lieutenant Colonel Bratwurst – if you’ve been in uniform, you know there’s one of those guys in every unit, and the wise commander has him off inventorying combat boots at the CIF, where he can’t provoke the troops to hang him by his skivvies from the flag pole out in front of Division HQ. You look at this parade of smug, over-credentialed bureaucrats with delusions of competence and a track record of screw-ups and, to cite the popular meme, you realize that Trump was elected to fire people like them.
emphasis mine

The rest of the post is equally funny, caustic, and accurate.

During Vindman’s testimony it was revealed that he did not know basic facts about U.S. aid to the country and, when the subject came up at his job, he apparently was not interested in wanting to know more about Hunter Biden joining the corrupt Ukrainian gas company Burisma.

The Daily Wire previously reported that during the impeachment hearings, Senior National Security Council official Timothy Morrison, who was the former boss of Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman, testified that Vindman’s bosses had numerous concerns and problems with him.

GOP counsel Steve Castor asked, “You had indicated in your deposition that when you took over the [Ukraine] portfolio for Dr. Hill July 15 that you were alerted to potential issues in Colonel Vindman’s judgement?”

“Yes,” Morrison responded.

“Did she relay anything specifically to you why she thought that?” Castor asked.

Morrison responded that the concern apparently came from multiple officials and was an overall general concern about his judgment.

“Did any other NSC personnel raise concerns with you about Colonel Vindman?” Castor asked.

“Yes,” Morrison responded.

“Morrison later confirmed that multiple other officials were concerned that Vindman was potentially leaking sensitive information to the media,” The Daily Wire reported. “Morrison also confirmed that Vindman did not keep him in the loop about all the things that he was doing in the job and that Vindman went behind his back and did not inform him about the concerns that he had about President Donald Trump’s July 25 phone call with the president of Ukraine.”
