Mr Vinderman - That's Lieutenant Colonel Vindman.

If grunts are so special (army and marine) why do you always need a ride? :sshrug:

Don't know why soldiers get a ride? But with Marines,
It started way long ago with protection of Navel Officers aboard wooden ships.... Now we get rides so we are rested and well fed when we arrive where the fun meter needle is on red....
Plus we get to taunt all the POG's along the way....
I could be wrong, but I believe the Marine Corps planes are all for business not pleasure.....

This is really sad to see a bunch of adults denigrating someone who has served our country their whole adult life and came to this country and became the embodiment of the american dream just because he told the truth about what he heard on a phone call.

This is a really sad day for our country. :patriot::patriot:
I agree. :patriot:

Actually, I would.
So you acknowledge it is proper protocol. Excellent first step. Now, why do you think someone asking to be referred to by their rank is being "that guy"?

Well, since it is the President that "shall Commission all the Officers of the United States," authorized by the Constitution, voted on by the delegates to the convention thereof, I'd say a member of the House of Representatives can address a LtCol as Mr. if he or she so desires, since it is the citizens of this nation that outrank all military personnel, and grant that commissioned rank through the auspices of Supreme Law of the Land. So while this traitor might demand to be addressed as LtCol from another member of the Army, or another service, being questioned by a member of the House of Representatives, the House of the People, as Mister, is not one of them.

It's proper within a military environment.

With civilians, you kind of have to eyeball the situation. If they're doing something out of rank ignorance, a gentle word will do wonders. For example: "Sir, minor point of protocol, but technically, it's more correct to say Lieutenant Colonel, not mister."

If they seem like they should know better, but they're jacking with you, you keep your cake hole secured and go file a butthurt chit with the chaplain. Or your bartender.

Don't know about the other branches, but Mister is a proper address for junior Naval and CG officers O-4 and below.
His 15 minutes of fame in the hearing is probably the first time in a long time he's had that uniform on.
My experience with officers serving in DC is they wear a suit and tie, not their dress uniform.

Had to laugh today. I just saw a clip of him being questioned by Jordan about his fitness report.
Mr. Vindman was very proud to read his yearly evaluation from Dr. Hill. It was also the first time I had heard him actually speak.
I was thinking if he's top 1% we are in a hell of a lot of trouble.

Then I heard from a friend, a full colonel who served with Vindmen on Joint Staff.
Oh, I know Vindman, utterly unremarkable officer. We served on the Joint Staff together. Nothing exceptional about the guy at all - he speaks Ukranian and that's his only real skill. No great leadership skills or intellect. Just a droid really.
