Muhammad vs Jesus The Christ

Please cite any verse from the New Testament where Jesus commanded His followers to personally persecute and kill non-Christians , have up to four wives, conduct honor killings, and kill anyone who leaves the faith.

You will not be able to.

why no old testament?

If god guided the authors hands (as I have seen said many times on this forum) then it should still count right?

Xaqinn44.....I'd listen...because I've had my butt handed to me by him..:coffee:....this ain't his first rodeo...:killingme

pfft. I'm not worried about him

he can pull whatever stats from wherever he wants, but the fact of the matter is that christians (or those saying they are) are as of now, are the only peoples who have decimated the entire population of a continent.

The inquisition and crusades just add to it. Also, if you want to take in the fact that Hitler called himself christian we could add another huge sum to it.

No. Jesus changed the Old Testament rules by providing a New Covenant between God and mankind. No more following the teachings of "an eye for an eye" and instead love, forgive and pray for one's enemies. No more having to provide annual sacrifices for the people, Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice once and for all acceptable to God whose Blood atones for your sins and mine.

God Did For Mankind What Abraham Was Going To Do For God.

No. Mankind was wrong. When you read the Old Testament you will see how God instructs mankind on how to live but mankind always turns away from God when things are going good. Mankind is not and cannot be perfect enough to obey all of God's Commandments - Only Jesus was able to do that and it is through the Atoning Blood of Jesus that God brings mankind back to spiritual reconciliation with Him. Jesus is the Only Way - it's just that many people are deceived by false religions and false prophets that they still believe they can earn their own way to heaven.

shouldn't he have known that to begin with?

he is 'all knowing' right?

Yes. God knew all along that mankind would need a Saviour. It had been prophesied in the Old Testament to begin with and fulfilled with the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus.

That was the New Covenant that God spoke of in the Old Testament - it's just that mankind has to realize that God's Grace is merciful and just following religious ritual, rules and traditions is not what brings one closer to God. It is a sincere desire, a broken spirit and a contrite heart that one must have in order to set pride aside and surrender to God's guidance in their personal life.

First, if god knew all along, then why not just cut to the chase? Why go through all the crap just to disregard it later? That's just stupid. If you knew you were going to have to do something would you start doing something counter to it and then after a while shove it aside and start again?

also, I bolded something that didn't seem to fit in your statement.

why must you have a broken spirit to take part in gods grace?

Jesus said "He who is without sin cast the first stone." All Judgement has been given over to The Son and it is His Will that mankind repent and accept Him as their personal Lord and Saviour. (John 14:6)
