jp, I know it's frustrating, but all you have to say is "I don't want to hear it, discuss it with the landlord." And WALK AWAY. This doesn't need to be an issue. IGNORE HER.

Glad something is helping with her anxiety. :yay: Maybe you should call A/C and find out what the law is about barking dogs. If you tell them your situation, they will be able to say which one of you is right or wrong. Just an idea.

What county?

Its hard to ignore her when she gets up and walks into the hall and tries to tell you you are wrong for taking the dog out etc. I don't have any control of when the dog needs to go potty she tells me I take her. Sometimes she holds it for 5hrs sometimes its only 1.5 it depends on how much she drinks and how much she eats as to when she has to go.

This is the same neighbor who if she goes out during the middle of the night takes up slamming doors to make it known she is going out and wakes the dog up and then in turn wakes me up as the dog then needs to go out and potty which in then makes the said neighbor try to have a 10min conversation with me as her boyfriend is in bed sleeping which urks me but you know what i am not going to stoop her level and complain about being bothered during the middle of the night instead i just ignore it and move on.

I do plan to bring it up to the landlord again or the landlords wife as she will talk to him about said problem and hopefully get him to do something about it.

yes i know citizen but she shouldn't complain about the dog barking when during the day most people are awake and moving around.
So you think your neighbor should conform to your dog's schedule?

That is ridiculous and you are unreasonable.

no i am thinking said neighbor should just get over it as dogs do bark and I don't plan to debark the dog because of said neighbor.

I'm sure your neighbor has probably had enough of you and your dogs anxiety problems.

I thought Bruno was only living with you temporarily while your mom and stepfather were on vacation?

A barking dog is an annoyance, period.

I also thought you posted before that your neighbor works at night. This would be why she is up until 6:00am and then goes to sleep.

See the above posting.

So your dog is a barking nuisance and your neighbor should just "get over it"?

That is still ridiculous and you are still unreasonable.

I think if i ever get a notice left on my door from animal control this lady will be history as my stepdad wont put up with that bs.

Not positive but if A/C were to leave a notice, it's because they've witness the behavior, not just based on this woman's word. I think they have to see/hear the violation in order to verify it. Don't really know though.

happy to be living
Duplex/ apartment living is difficult under most circumstances. Noise seems to be a big issue; whether is be with children, pets, stereo, tv, etc.
Sometimes people don't even realize or consider how loudly they walk, talk, slam doors or bang the pots and pans around. And then there are those that flat out don't care.
The problem is, tenants cannot control each other's noises and actions. It is unrealistic to expect there be NO noise or inconvenience from noise when there are multiple familys sharing a dwelling.
You are allowed to have a dog and dogs do bark. She may consider any amount of noise he makes to be intolerable. Expecting the dog to make no noise or not accepting that he will bark at times is unrealistic.
Or she may have a valid complaint if his barking is a nuisance and more than an occasional occurance.
Having read your posts before, it is ongoing and is not going to be settled until one of you moves.
