But the Yamaha has a lot more features, etc. than the ST. Seems to be more bang for the buck.

On another note, the guys that I went to Sturgis were trying to get me to buy a Night Rod Special ($17K). I think I'll have to tell them that I'd rather get this:

2007 Yamaha Midnight Warrior ($13K)

Bigger engine I give you..

Heated Grips.. standard

Side Cases.. Check..

Adjustable screen.. check..

Adjustable Seat.

Adjustable Handlebars..

ABS (integrated, and servo assisted) check.. and selectable (on or off)

Bigger fuel, but I think they still have the same cruising range.

Don't know if I'd like tha auto shifting.. I'd have to try it. right now I'd say that would be a negative.

BMW has ESA.. pushbutton controlled suspension.. From Normal, Sport or Cruising.

LONG life drive train..

If there was a bigger price difference I'd say the Yamaha for sure.. but being that close, I'd still choose the beemer..

That and I'm not just BMW crazy.. I'm two cylinder Boxer addicted.. a better competitior would be the K1200GT.. but then I think you are talking about 18K..

We jump up to 152 HP with the increased price.. and it does have the new Hassock front end..

THIS is my dream machine.. but I still like how easy the Boxers are to work on.

Nope...$200

Web site doesn't mention/show them at all. Only mentions the optional top case rack...$125 without the case itself.

Manually adjustable...

Adjustable Seat.
They both have that. Therefore, I didn't mention it as a difference.

Ditto.

ABS...$995

ESA...$775

$14,990
$200 heated grips
Cases...??? $500 maybe?
$995 ABS

Total to match the Yamaha = $16, 685
Still probably not enough of a difference for you to go for the Yamaha, but it's enough (plus the aesthetics) to keep me from going for the BMW.
