You really think it was "A" man that discovered fire? It was already an integral part of nature. Throughout history fire has often been viewed as a phenomenon from the God’s, a religious belief. The Pyramids were built for religious purposes.

If God gave us fire, why did he give us an appendix?

WRONG..

The man that discoverd fire, was not a religious man.. definitely NOT a Christian. By all terms he would be a "scientist".. the person that invented the wheel wasn't a priest or a pastor. The pyramids? You think religion built those, or engineers and scientists??

Science pre-dates religion, and christianity by at least a million of the six thousand years the earth has been around..
Well, I don't think they'd be considered scientists, either, with the exception of the pyramids (uh, religion was long around by then). The pre-human that first kept fire going didn't know what he had, nor try and determine what he had. He understood warm was better than cold, and this made him/her and their family warm. If you want to be honest, then please be so.

quickly dodge the question and pick on spelling!

TO THE GOD MOBILE!

No, I'm pointing out that it's a pointless question. We ask billions of questions about "why". The same question can be asked about nature devoid of God. Why would nature have us keep such a useless organ as an appendix?

EDIT: and research has shown that the appendix does serve a purpose:

Scientists may have found appendix’s purpose

Some scientists think they have figured out the real job of the troublesome and seemingly useless appendix: It produces and protects good germs for your gut.

Scientists MAY have ....

I'm sure at some point during our species tenure on this rock it may have served a purpose .... but it doesn't now.

So you reject the article I provided that states the appendix may serve a purpose after all. See, you aren't even receptive to certain kinds of science if it doesn't fit your current argument.

So why did nature give us two kidneys, two, lungs, two adrenal glands, two testicles, two ovaries, a gall baldder. It's obvious we don't need all these organs in our body. Why do we need to breathe in so much oxygen when we only use a small portion of it with each breath?

I want science to answer all these questions.

you shouldn't be looking for proof ....

it kind of belies 'faith'.
Faith without thought and consideration would be foolish. Thanks for the advise on how to follow religion, though. I'm glad I could enlighten you on how it really works.

I'm tellin ya, they do this on purpose :howdy:
Are those mutations, or potentially future enhancements via evolution? Or, is that the same thing? After all, if this whole evolution thing started with one cell, wouldn't everything be a mutation from that?

You're right, though, we question and seek answers on purpose :howdy:

There's a wealth of information out there on evolution - more than you can possibly read in a lifetime, so no need to re-invent the wheel here. If you can be a little more clear in your question, I can try to answer.

Show me the common ancestor to all living things on the planet. A wealth of conflicting, self-serving information is not what's needed, just proof.

Just to test your intellectual honesty, can you cite where it says that all living things on the planet share a common ancestor?
