ok all you cop aplogists explain this ....

"Typical White Person"
That's the problem with this crap: you see a short clip, which is not the whole situation, and some news person tells you to be outraged by it. So you are.

Dur.

It is the same thing they do to gun owners. "Weapons cache found". I can't comment about the one video because I didn't see it (the B&E one). Personally I look at all things the media reports with a skeptical eye, doesn't mean that just because I came to the same conclusion as them I was swayed by their view.

The only people that worry about getting searched are the ones that have something to hide :yay:
All in the name of the greater good. This is a prime example of why there are so many sheep in this country now. If you won't stand up for your own rights, what's the chances of you standing up for anyones else's rights.

Maybe you would have been happier if the cops had done nothing to stop the Sniper and you took a bullet instead. My god, the nerve of those to cops to ask you to get out of your car, it must have been a living hell for you :huggy:

Hmm so your OK with Illegal Search .....

you don't want an due process, no probable cause .... Po Po, can come on in and search your house any time they feel like it ... stop you, search your car ... your person, effects .............

Nice, I suggest you move to China, Pakistan, Iran, Syria, Jordan .... you obviously do need rights and protections of the US Constitution so go live somewhere where they don't exist ......... come back and report in 5 yrs.

Horary for the good guys! All you cop haters out there, post what your profession is so we can comb through that with a fine tooth comb. Perhaps out of the 800,000 police officers who put on a uniform each day, you might find a very small minority who make horrible mistakes, and an even smaller minority who intentionally commit crimes.

Most police officers go out each day to serve the communities in which they live, in order to protect and defend the rights of some of the very citizens who despise them.

Despite the small minority of cop haters on this forum, THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF PEOPLE IN SOUTHERN MARYLAND APPRECIATE THIER LAW ENFORCMENT PROFESSIONALS. So you can carry on with your diatribe, but I don't think it's having it's desired effect. God bless you and I hope I can serve you someday!

It's not cop haters, it's the small number of cops on the forums that can look at the same video as the rest of us and not understand why we think their behavior is crossing the line. You all seem to come to rallying around a fellow officer even when he is so clearly in the wrong that if it had been anyone else they would have been locked up. You justify this as one of the perks of the job, and call anyone who disagrees with you a coward for not being a cop along with you.

I guess you can count me in the small number then. Taking the videos one by one:
In the first one we only get about a 10 second snippet. So we can't say what happened prior to that to cause the police to get involved with the family of the woman being treated. But you can safely assume two things. She was interfering with the paramedics attempting to treat the girl, and she got belligerent with the po-po. Does it justify the response we saw?

Probably not.

The second one shows two officers attempting to escort an arrested man to a transport vehicle. He resists strenuously and at one point begins to sit down. At that point a 3rd officer steps in, picks up the arrestees feet and they carry him to the vehicle. So effin what? No semblance of brutality there.

The 3rd one shows an overmatched female officer attempting to subdue an alleged burglar using a blackjack. She repeatedly strikes ineffectually at the subject's upper arm. If she had used the proper weapon(a real baton) in the proper manner, she would have only had to strike once to gain his compliance.

All in all, I would say that the 3 videos the media chose to inflame you were very poor examples of brutality.

OK, still haven't seen the videos (blocked) talking about the cop at the inner harbor with the skateboarder or the one who thinks that the no parking signs don't apply to him.

Now, I agree the last two were what they were, I didnt see any overly aggressive stuff there. But come'on now. How if heck can you even attach the word probably to what you saw. Is there any page in the restraint training book that shows picking up a smaller opponent and doing some wild ass WWF sort of face slam?

What, like five officers standing around, and thats the best that one officer had?

But whats worse than that is that after it was done, nobody in that room came forward to defend her, instead, all those officers, and apparently the DAs office decide to cover up that one officers bad judgement with prosecution.

Thats the real crime, that the good people in that department and D/As office wouldn't stand up to get that bad one off the streets. I'll betcha an offer to cover her medical, and punisment of the officer woulda been cheaper than 11 mil.

Apparently there is such a police brutality problem in the Yonkers PD, the Justice Dept has had to step in, and is investigating several complaints .... I found several on youtube looking of the 1st one I posted where the cop body slams the 95lb woman face 1st on the floor ....

who knows about the other 2, they turned up as links ....

makes good Troll Bait ...

OLD WISE ONE
I did not say that .... you were griping about only videos of cops doing bad things being posted .........

like the Insurgency in Iraq, we all know the US Military is doing lots of good over their, but little of it makes the news ....

but Police Brutality Videos make good TROLL BAIT ..........

Are you calling your self a Troll??:sarcasm:

I like cops. If it weren't for them, I'd have to shoot and beat up ignorant people myself.

Trolling for someone to jump to any police officers defense, no matter what the offense ....

I'm not averse to "police brutality". Sure, there are cops who lose it and just plain bad cops. But most of the brutality videos that get tossed around, the person who gets their ass kicked had it coming.

There was one on here awhile back where this punk kid literally trolled for a cop to get nasty with him. He parked alone in a dark lot (drug suspect), then when the cop came over to see what he was doing, he started mouthing off and being a jerk. I'm not weeping that that kid got slapped around, or whatever happened to him (don't remember but it was enough to get the hippies in a frenzy). For two cents, I'd have punched him myself.

I have never had a bad experience with a cop because:
  1. I'm not a criminal
  2. I don't hang out with criminals
  3. I'm not a smartass with authority issues
  4. I'm not looking to provoke them
  5. I'm not a kirkout who can't control myself

And that's is pretty much all you need to avoid to unpleasant police encounters.
