Ok, I know I'm dating myself....

Oh he!!..... I JUST shredded about 20 5.25" disks TODAY as I was cleaning out stuff. There's probably more around. What else you looking for? Probably have it tucked away somewhere. 4mm tapes? I have a 4mm drive that doesn't work (SCSI). I have a COMPLETE Atari 800 system with all the bells and whistles, but I was looking to sell that. Old Sears (Epson FX-80) dot matrix printer?

I have a box of 8 inch floppies ...

and 3 pairs of still new in the Styrofoam 8 inch Floppy drives .......

don't ask me where I dig up this junk ........ (dumpster diving)

Check w/ SMARTCO. They get in lots of really old tech. Most of that stuff goes directly into the scrap bins for recycling.

...but I was just cleaning out a drawer and came across some 9-track write-rings. Anybody else ever have a write-ring fight ?? Little frisbees flying all over the place?

You think you are dating yourself - I started out on the old Univac IIA! I use to teach newly hired operators. We first used the rings on IIIA's. Anyway, I remember saying "no ringy - no writey" to help students remember when the ring is used. Honest, I meant nothing by the saying. Unfortunately, I got called to Personnel about a complaint from a student. That was my first (and last) introduction to (what they now call) Sensitivity Training!:killingme:killingme:killingme

OK, dating yourself is just bragging!

I remember the really cool Bunker Ramo BR90 two page display terminal. I remember playing "UNGODLY" card pickup with my 4-tran code. My GOD! I actually worked on a mainframe that used TUBES!
