I bought mine to ride and ride it I do. I have sunk about $400 in extra stuff so far and it is almost complete. It is shiney and when I am not riding it, it does sit in the garage where I admire it.

It rides very nice. :yay: I don't have to downshift as often as my Honda, I don't have to whip it like a dog to go 70 down the road. My accesories for the Honda were not cheap eaither and there were not as many. It got tiresome checking out Ebay and seeing the same lamo chrome colored plastic horn cover listed 70 times. My Honda was a nice bike, but this one is much nicer :yay:
I must have a different model. Think mine is about 70 -80 pounds lighter than yours was

J/K about the riding. Seems to be a lot of used Harleys 3-5 years old with 3-5 thousand miles on them in the classifieds. Also know a lot of folks that rack up the miles on them.

I rode 580 miles Friday and Saturday. Friday to Wilmington DE, then to Danville, PA. Saturday Danville, PA back to here. Friday was great but saturday I rode about 90 miles in the rain and it sucked huge. Rained all the way frm Danville to just below York.
I just picked mine up, will be two weeks this Friday.. and have almost 700 miles on it already. I picked it up on a crappy rainy day, so the dealer had the pleasure of selling me some nice waterproof riding gear.. and it worked FANTASTIC. I arrived home warm, dry and safe after the 100 mile trip from Jessup. Have to buy me another helmet once I get this one paid off of the credit card.. figure SOMEbody may want to go for a ride... SOMEday!! Was going to try a trip to Franklin PA, 380 miles each way, for a long distance try out in one day.. hasn't happened yet.

Add boy and we are probably talking 150lbs heavier. I like the way the Harley shifts to, very solid and precise. Is it worth x2 the price? that is debatable but after putting over 1100 miles since the 7th of May for me it is x2 the ride.

Alas I only had leather chaps and jacket and a half helmet. The rain and mist soaked me pretty good and the only bike shop I passed was closed so I couldn't get a better helmet with a face shield. I just toughed it out.

You can ride on the back of Raspberry #2 whenever you want, bungee cords are optional.
 Swing by the bar tonight and I'll buy ya a soda pop.

Just cause a gal's leg's aren't as long as Cousin Lurch's and she steps on one tiny lil ole beer bottle when swinging her leg over and goes flying, doesn't mean she has to be strapped down with bungee cords. After all, at least she didn't knock the bike over. Ya'll shouldn't pick on the vertically challenged. Unless this is a new game nobody's tole me about. :really:

I am equipped to handle your lack of height. I had to get adjustable highway pegs for boy, they raise his feet about 6 inches above the floor boards so they would work well for you.

Tonight is TKD night so I can't stop by.

One of the funniest sites at Bike Week in Daytona and Myrtle Beach are the obvious trailer queens. The $20-$30K machines that go from Bike Week to Bike Week on trailers, and the riders that look like they're riding a horse for the first time. Awkward as hell looking with their thousand dollar matching outfits, turning Bike Week into a Trailer Festival and Fashion show all to get a t-shirt that says "I was there" to try and impress their new little girlfriends that are younger than their kids.

Funny, you see $40,000 machines getting more miles put on them than some of the Harleys worth half as much.

I saw one guy tip his full dresser Electra Glide over on an upgrade leading to the road. It looked like he went to pull over, and put his feet down, but the right side was too low, and over he went...with the top side of the bike about a foot below the bottom side. He was standing there scratching his head trying to figure out how he was going to fix that situation.

On 95 coming south saturday I saw a Goldwing on the right shoulder on its side (with the flashers going) and the rider sitting on the guard rail waiting. I suppose he pulled over and went to get off and over it went. I wonder what went through his mind when he leaned it over, passed the point of no return, and realized that he forgot the kick stand.

I'll fes up, years ago while backing the new bike out of the storage shed, back tire slipped on the dew wet grass and down it went. That was bad enough, but everytime I tried to get it back up, it kept sliding on the grass. :ohwell:

I've done the wet grass dismount. Was at an ABATE gathering on some softball field and grabbed the front brake.:yikes: That's a big :nono:
But I did get compliments and applause on how well I rolled and came back up on my feet :diva:
