I like it when a man orders for me, as long as he gets all the details and the waitron doesn't then have to come back to me for dressing type, steak doneness, etc. If you've been dating for a long time and know each other well, you can typically fill in any blanks the waiter might ask for.

Yeah, see... I thought accusing a man of chauvinism for ordering their meal was a bit femi-nazi-ish.... I usually don't make it a habit, but have done it and it's usually someone I feel comfortable enough with.
Okay, so women are dating retards, too, and it's not just the guys who've lost their manners. Or maybe guys have lost their manners because women are such #####es when the guy tries to act like a gentleman.
That may answer my question of, who the hell neutered all these men???

Actually I think a lot of women are surprised by someone ordering for them, getting the door, basic chivalry chit because they are not used to nor never had it... Don't forget, "nice guys finish last"....

Some times I order for hubby, actually I will order for the whole table (in the order they are sitting). I usually point to each person as I am ordering but I still love it when I am done and the waitress turns to my hubby and asks if he would be having anything like I am going to eat it all by myself. I should probobly add I have 5 kids so I order for everyone to make it faster and to make sure the order is heard. Sometimes my kids do not speak up or realize the waitress is talking to them.
I have a rather long list of people from whom I will not be taking dating and relationship advice....
