Ordering for Females

Okay, so women are dating retards, too, and it's not just the guys who've lost their manners.

on the rare date nights we Get, unless my wife is hungry for something specific, I am under orders to 'Just Pick' some place to eat ........ so she doesn't have to ...

[of course taking into account, she really does not care for wings @ Hooters - says she has her own, why look at someone else's]

I couldn't remember his nic, as I'm pretty sure he's had a few since I've been around. Is he an adult, at least by age?

He reminds me of a creep on a local forum where I used to live.

Wasn't "Sheriff" was it?

.....are you guys flirting.....:jet:

My husband orders for me sometimes because he already knows what I would order so I find it to be quite handy. And sometimes I get to try something newish and fun.

If we were dating I think I would prefer that he ask me about it first or just kinda talk to me about it before just doing it. That way there's smaller room for an awkward misunderstanding. No biggie.

Ok... I have one girlfriend that says it is chauvinistic and another that loves when a guy orders the meal for a female date... What say you?

Tell them both to get whatever they want while they make you a sammich

Actually I think a lot of women are surprised by someone ordering for them, getting the door, basic chivalry chit because they are not used to nor never had it... Don't forget, "nice guys finish last"....

I knew all along that you were a nice guy, Hankaroo!! My intuition is pretty good. Nice guys finish last because they wait for the right one. My daughter is 26, and is dating a 35 year old great guy (who has never been married). He just called my hub tonight to ask for her hand in marriage. We were like "huh", guys still do that? Very cool and reassuring that the world has not gone totally crazy. She is getting a surprise proposal, and party that he is planning. Chivalry is not dead! You go, Hank!!

My assumption is that he lives far away and getting on a plane to get parental blessing would have made him look like a desperate nut. The daughter is 26, so it's unlikely she still lives at home.
You assume? Have you not learned that lesson yet?

Yes, my daughter's boyfriend called us to ask to marry her. Oh, the horror of it all!!! They are always together, and, he wants it to be a surprise, so he called when she wasn't around. Also, he doesn't live in our backyard, so we only see him every so often. But thanks, y'all, for your analysis, and concern. :yay:

Edit: He is proposing to her between now and Christmas; as soon as he can get the surprise party planned. They have only been dating for 8 months, but when you know, you know.

I like to order a diet coke with lime. When the wait person brings me a refill and it doesn't come with lime, and I am not there or I am talking to someone else, FH always tells them. When he orders that for me - it's always with lime.

He gets me & I totally love that. I have no problem with him ordering for me. He doesn't pick out my food - but he can order it and it doesn't bother me.

Chivalry is most certainly not dead in my life nor in our Friday Nighter's group, for that matter. It is definitely alive & well! :yay:
