Ordering for Females

READ THE THREAD.

We're talking about her telling him what she wants, then he relays it to the waitron. Alternately, we are talking about a couple who knows each other well enough that the man could successfully choose a meal for his lady faire.
I didn't see that mentioned anywhere. Then by all means, order for the chicky. :yay:

I've never heard about all this ordering for your date stuff. Maybe I'll give it a go the next time my wife and I are out without the kids.

Maybe she'll like it, but I'm sure I'll hear about it if she doesn't

For those who are confused- it might go something like this:

SHE: Dahling, I think I will have the x, y and z medium well with some abc on the side.
HE: to the waitperson: Lovey will have the :blahblah: ... and I will be having the x, y and z RARE with some abc drizzled all over.

I've always ordered for my wimmins. I'm always driving so the speaker is always on my side.

Ok... I have one girlfriend that says it is chauvinistic and another that loves when a guy orders the meal for a female date... What say you?

While it may or may not be the gentlemanly thing to do; to order for the lady; I say, if you, the guy, are going to do that, let her tell you what she wants.

Wife and I are coming up on nine years - and the only thing I know for certain that she wants anywhere is what she will drink and how she wants it.

My ONLY means of being able to do this is if there's a small number of items on the menu and she has mentioned what she wants. For instance, if we go to CD Cafe, I know there's pretty much only two items she's ordering.

And I've yet to meet a woman who likes this, even when the man gets it right (unless she is headed to the bathroom and says "order the prime rib and fries").

I like to order my own food, and I also like to pull out my own chair. When someone else pulls out the chair for you, it's hard to sit down/slide in just right.
