I think you're just looking for something to pick at.
Because I said you were right?

Last year when I was "interviewing" fencing companies, there was one in particular who kept bad mouthing another company. I scratched the complainer off my list, and bumped up the "competitor" fairly quickly. I had to tell the guy more than once that he wasn't at my home to lecture me about other businesses, he was here to sell me his (and he failed).

It was the "yabbut" afterward.
You are correct that FF could have been kinder and gentler to her competitor who is scamming free advertising on my website. I personally have no problem with her less than dulcet tones.

If the OP was spamming, why didn't you delete the thread?
Because it became informational and less about the spammer.
I gleaned no new information from this thread, except FF knew about the competition before anyone else. Oh, and that she knew who I was when I came in her store. I found that interesting, because I have no freakin' idea who she is, or how/why she would know who I am.
Maybe she's been in the kitchen at restaurants that have your picture posted?
I gained new information: I didn't realize PetValU was a chain, nor did I know it wasn't even a US company. When I went in there, the gal presented them as a competitor to Peppers, not to PetCo or PetSmart. She definitely gave me the impression they were a locally owned and operated small business.

Is it a franchise? I would consider franchise owners as local small biz.
Then you must consider McDonald's a small business as well. To me they're a corporate chain.

I honestly don't know. No one said anything about being a competitor with anyone when I went in. Again, that could boil down to "can't watch my employees 24/7". FF's words, not mine.
Still a local biz owner. Look at the 7-11's that are going under. They are corporate, but owned by locals. Doesn't matter how corporate they are, they are still capable of going under and losing their ass.
JC Penney is going under and losing their ass. Do you consider them a local business?
Anyway, it doesn't matter. I have nothing against chain stores for the most part - Hooray for Target! And Giant! And Wegman's! And Whole Foods! But I did learn today that the pet store in Ltown is not a local small business, it is a chain.
is JC Penney a franchise owned store?
Won't their closing put local people out of work?
