As a former law enforcement officer all I have to say to RC is :biteme: . I hope you get pulled over everytime you go ANY amount over the posted speed limit.

Because you never speed or fail to yield the right of way, correct? And if you did, you wouldn't flash your badge, right?

I'm not sure how you read all that into my post. To answer, I never claimed not to have exceeded the posted speed limit. I have copies of two tickets from N.C. and one from PA to prove it, and no, I didn't "flash" my badge and abuse my authority. However, what I do have is some modicum of RESPECT for the job our law enforcement officers do and none for you for failing to do the same. Not that there are some so-so officers out there, but by and large they are a good bunch of folks that deserve respect because of the job they do for relatively little pay.

I also don't think that comments in Karma such as this are entirelly appropriate. Are you trying to threaten me?

I fear no speed trap because...I don't speed! :diva:

I do sometimes. But if I were to get a ticket, I certainly wouldn't be calling the cops bad names for doing their job. I'd be calling myself a dumbass for doing something stupid to warrant a ticket.

:yeahthat: Amen sister ! Absolutely no need to call the officers "pigs".
If and when I get a ticket for speeding, it's only because I deserve it ! :patriot:

Go, Go, Granny :lmao:

Willow's Road is tricky. You pull onto it from Route 5 and there are NO speed limit signs until you get to where it drops to 30 at the base housing. The other way it is clearly marked as changing to 40 MPH at that point but most people fly at 50+ MPH in either direction.

I actually thought (by reading the name of this thread) that there were actual farm animals on Willows Road. :lmao:
Me too, I could picture them running out the back door of Roses, through the woods and screaming nearly naked down the middle of Willows road, being pursued by several forumites who I won't name. :lmao:

So did I

I didn't know there were any hippie freaks left who still called cops "pigs".

The bacon in blue seems to have migrated away from Willows Road for the present time. Perhaps one of our "special posters" can provide us with some information...such as...how much revenue was collected from running radar from the LPBC parking lot?

I never got pulled over from that speed trap (which indeed, it is. Refer to previous post about signs leading up to Lancaster Park). I'm curious, though, how much revenue was generated from these tickets and where the money is going.

Sure, the local yokel has his job to do. If given the option of hanging out between A&E Motel and Canopy Liquors or sitting in the church parking lot to write tickets to easy pickins, which do you think he would choose? Priorities are pretty obvious when comparing these two.

I've almost....almost considered standing near the Maryland Bank with a sign over my shoulders with the front saying SLOW DOWN and the back saying SPEED TRAP AHEAD. The pigs would love that one...let me guess...I'd get arrested/fined for obstruction of justice.

It's not about revenue, dumbass - It's about safety !
I hope you and yours stay safe !

What do you have against cops?

The solution to this problem seems very simple to me - don't speed and you won't get a ticket. Dur.

I sure would like to see them watching a few intersections now and then. I get tired of starting to pull out and then having to hit the brakes because some idiot feels that 2 minutes sitting at a red is going to ruin their life.
