Pit Bull Attack!!!!!!

I just have visions of her wearing black and in the bushes with binoculars religiously watching the dog. Then see her yelling "DRATS!!! Foiled!!!!! :cussing: The biatch is pregnant :cussing:" A month or two later... her hair is a little longer and disarrayed, her clothes are dirty and tattered and again ... "Drats Foiled again!!! I see pups weaning!!!" :cussing: and then finally the day comes when winter has turned to spring and its execution day, all criteria is met. Then she says she didn't want to kill the dog.

I love the whole winter turning to spring thing.

I am so very blessed
If an aggressive dog had killed my beloved pet, and continued to come on to my property again and again and after repeatedly being contacted by Animal Control, the owners did nothing to contain the dog on their property, I'd have killed the damn aggressive dog, too.

I did have another cat at home at the time and yes I was going to get another after boomer got killed. Sorry if I said I was "thinking" of getting another cat, I definatly was. I knew for a FACT that this dog would kill again. And I have no idea why she kept coming to my home unless she sensed blood from her previos kill.

Maybe its because she was a friendly dog  She obviously didn't know she didn't belong there. Again I'm sorry about your cat, however I feel badly for your neighbors dog too. Do you still live there? Did they neighbors every replace their dog?

I normally try to avoid jumping into a thread without reading it to the end first, but didn't baileydog say that the dog she had to kill had already killed one of her pets, on her property? She didn't say "I'll kill any dog that steps foot in my yard", she took out a dog that was already a proven threat.

That dog's owner should have taken the first dead cat as a sign that his dog should be leashed or penned, but instead it was back on Bailey's property again.

That Chihuahua constantly and consistently attacks my dog and lunges at me and the giant - in our yard.

Restraining our dog from attacking back is quite a feat considering he weighs in at more than me.

So again, by the reasoning you present, I can shoot that chi at anytime. After all it not only attacks my dog but myself and others. I think I have more right than most - it trespasses, it attacks my pet, it attacks me and others. Therefore I have the right to kill that animal, right?

Even better, I can kill that animal and get rid of it somewhere and nobody would be none the wiser, right?

I'm justified, right?

I need to premediate and plan my course of action.

Oh and :sarcasm:

She probably liked you. That's why she willingly, probably happily got in the car with you. The car ride that resulted in her once warm snuggly body being left to rot in a pauper's grave like so much half-buried garbage.

It is like a wolf keeps coming in and killing your chickens, or sheep....what ya gonna do?
Stand out there with a gun to kill it AFTER it kills more of your property?
NO...You kill it first..to protect your property and you animals...
Dont see anything wrong with that....

That's a good analogy.

My grandfather shot any stray animal that showed up on his property. He had a farm and wasn't going to risk his livestock by being compassionate to some dumb dog that the owners apparently didn't even care for.

This is a pretty funny thread, anyway.

I would. I hate nuisance animals. And their owners.

I didn't have the gun yet and wouldn't have shot it in my neighborhood anyway, but I did throw rocks at the cat who comes over to torment my girls. Beaned him in the head with one and haven't seen him since. I threw tomatoes at him last summer, but that didn't seem to get my message across. One good hit with a rock and Mr. Kitty has apparently figured it out.

That was rude and uncalled for. I don't think there is a damn thing funny about my dog being attacked and nearly killed. This thread has been reported as abusive.

Oh stop. :smack: I wasn't laughing about your dog or situation - I was laughing about the spanking Bailey is getting from the animal nutties for ridding her yard of vicious dogs. I already expressed my sympathy and good wishes for your dog on the first page.

You should have caught him and murdered him.

In that case, you are nearly forgiven. And thank you for the sympathy and good wishes.

you got it in your car, you could've just as easily drove it to animal control or the pound. At least that way it had a chance to put down in a humane way if it was "so vicious".

So did the owners post up missing dog posters or come asking if you ever saw it again?

I don't understand why an instantaneous death by a bullet to the head, is viewed as less humane than AC trapping the dog, putting it in a tiny cage in a truck, letting it sit for a day in a cage somewhere else, before finally sticking a couple needles in it.
