Pit Bull Attack!!!!!!

Oh stop. :smack: I wasn't laughing about your dog or situation - I was laughing about the spanking Bailey is getting from the animal nutties for ridding her yard of vicious dogs. I already expressed my sympathy and good wishes for your dog on the first page.

I'd have had more respect for her if she blasted it in her yard then mounted it's head to a pike at the end of the driveway instead of tricking in and spiriting it away in the night. Anyway, when I'm king, you will be encouraged to shoot the owner, not the animal.

I don't understand why an instantaneous death by a bullet to the head, is viewed as less humane than AC trapping the dog, putting it in a tiny cage in a truck, letting it sit for a day in a cage somewhere else, before finally sticking a couple needles in it.

you forgot the part where they put that thing around the neck and lift the dog by the neck into the cage. Thats humane!

I didnt sprint her away in the middle of the night, actually it was around 8 am.

I'll go for that :yay:

But vicious animals need to be put down, I don't care what their prey instinct is. And if the owner won't do it, and AC won't do it, then guess what?

So you're not mad because she killed the dog, you're mad because she tricked it. Pulled the wool over his eyes. Played him for a fool.

That Chihuahua constantly and consistently attacks my dog and lunges at me and the giant - in our yard.

Restraining our dog from attacking back is quite a feat considering he weighs in at more than me.

So again, by the reasoning you present, I can shoot that chi at anytime. After all it not only attacks my dog but myself and others. I think I have more right than most - it trespasses, it attacks my pet, it attacks me and others. Therefore I have the right to kill that animal, right?

Even better, I can kill that animal and get rid of it somewhere and nobody would be none the wiser, right?

I'm justified, right?

I need to premediate and plan my course of action.

Oh and :sarcasm:

Sarcasm is much more effective when backed by logic. You are trying to turn the argument around, by comparing the threat presented by a Chihuahua to the threat presented by a Pit that already killed one of her cats. So what the hell, sure - If that Chihuahua ever kills your dog, you have my blessing to shoot it. Assuming you can aim well enough to hit the damned tiny thing. :lmao:

ANY pet needs to be controlled by it's owner. I don't give a damn if it's a ferret, rabbit, dog, cat, hermit crab. The pit's owners are responsible for its death, not bailey.

I agree 100%. Well said!!

Between BD and Vrai, I'm thinking maybe we should separate this into two threads... maybe name one of them "When Cat Owners Attack" or something.

Also, in case I havn't said it yet, Somdgirl42, I'm sorry about your dog. :frown: Mine was attacked last night too but it was by a racoon. Wishing your dog a speedy recovery! :flowers:

My dog never leaves her fenced in back yard unless Im with her. My stinking neighbors have this really big black nasty dog, looks mean as hell and pretty much tries to be. The only one who can control him is the owners and this danm dog keeps getting out and if it comes over here and kills one of my cats, its anti freeze ball for him. I no longer have a gun. This dog has stared down my dog on many a occasion.

Here you go again. You're looking foolish posting like this. How does a chi attacking a huge dog that could gulp it down in one bite equate to a pit attacking a cat? :duh:

I would not load it in my car and murder it at my friends house.

When you originally posted you did this your reasoning was you were THINKING about getting another cat and were pretty sure if you did it too would be attacked by the pit bull.

I do not agree w/ what you did. Sorry
:scenario: your four boys were small and played in the yard, one was brutally attacked by a pit and severely injured. You called AC, they get dog, dog is back in X days. Your little boys want to play in the yard, pit owner refuses to control his dog. Your little boys cannot play in THEIR OWN yard. This scene is repeated 4 times..... You mean to tell me you're not going to make that dog disappear?

If you say "no", I say I don't believe you.

I follow you BD!!

It is like a wolf keeps coming in and killing your chickens, or sheep....what ya gonna do?
Stand out there with a gun to kill it AFTER it kills more of your property?
NO...You kill it first..to protect your property and you animals...
Dont see anything wrong with that....

Hang in there!!!!
I normally try to avoid jumping into a thread without reading it to the end first, but didn't baileydog say that the dog she had to kill had already killed one of her pets, on her property? She didn't say "I'll kill any dog that steps foot in my yard", she took out a dog that was already a proven threat.

That dog's owner should have taken the first dead cat as a sign that his dog should be leashed or penned, but instead it was back on Bailey's property again.
If an aggressive dog had killed my beloved pet, and continued to come on to my property again and again and after repeatedly being contacted by Animal Control, the owners did nothing to contain the dog on their property, I'd have killed the damn aggressive dog, too.
Voices of reason. :buddies:

Paintball gun on low velocity will sting him and scare the crap out of him! Once hit all you have to do is shake the gun to make the balls rattle and he will hightail it. Worked on neighbors dog (with their permission) and works on squirells also!

Can we please keep this in perspective?

dogs killing cats =/= human murdering human

dog attacking animal =/= dog attacking human

:yeahthat: and she was even considerate enough not to kill a pregnant animal and allowed the pups (hopefully, not vicious) to be weaned before she took the cat killer out. Bailey is an animal lover.

I jumped for joy when the evil Chow across the street was put down. He tried to eat my cat and then went after me and my son (in our yard) The owners finally killed it. I've heard two different stories from two different people. One is that they shot it after it went to chew off their child's arm and the other is that it was taken to the vet and put to sleep...the child's arm was still in the story. I don't care. The vile beast is gone.

Thank you wenchy. I could never hurt a pregnant animal no matter what the conditions. I will wait.

 I agree, its a cat not a small child and BD said the dog was "friendly" but if they want to keep inserting child in where animal goes - lets play it back -- what if neighbors child killed the cat NOT their dog and after repeated pleas, they still let this child run free. Is it then okay to kidnap kid and take matter into your own hands? Its silly but if you want to substitute cat for child, lets substitute dog for child
