Did you also see that normal staffing is 30 controllers and there were only 19 and one of them was allowed to leave moments prior to the incident? That made that one controller handle the additional workload that they "normally" would not.THAT I have seen. What I have NOT seen, is that THIS ACCIDENT was the result of a DEI error.
People can still make mistakes and NOT be DEI hires.
Is there any evidence of this though?Did you also see that normal staffing is 30 controllers and there were only 19 and one of them was allowed to leave moments prior to the incident? That made that one controller handle the additional workload that they "normally" would not.
And I am pretty sure I haven't said anything about the specific persons involved and whether they were DEI or not. My ire is that the error was systemic in nature where the agency was more invested in showing their diversity over actually getting the best candidate for the position which can be attributed to staffing failures.

Yes. Current class action suit.Is there any evidence of this though?
Really, do you have any experience in the field? It’s really really difficult and challenging work, it’s stressful and the overnight shifts are horrible.
Yes, I’ve worked many in person overnight shifts, not Air Traffic, but rotating shift work, it’s hell and it doesn’t fit well for most people who have families.Really, do you have any experience in the field?
So the real answer is NO. You are phucking clueless as to what it takes to do the job so you cannot speak anything other than what you pull from your ass. Now crawl back under your rock and go away, and if you do come back get anther usedID, you are an embarrassment to Chopticon.Yes, I’ve worked many in person overnight shifts, not Air Traffic, but rotating shift work, it’s hell and it doesn’t fit well for most people who have families.

You folks are painting yourself into a corner, basically if a tragedy or accident happens and a white straight man is involved then it a very sad incident. Otherwise it’s incompetence, how can anyone but a white straight man then be trusted to do anything?
You really should get psychological help. You losers hate the truth
Keep listening to Trump then, everything is fine and dandy. Lots of straight white men will be taking all these roles soon.
Maybe for you, but for me, unless they're friends or family, no.When it includes people from your community, even if you didn't know them, it hits home a little more. It makes it more real and relevant to your life, than a far-off tragedy.
And check out what happened the day before:
Sure looks like a training issue with the Army pilots operating along this corridor, IMO.
Who heard it from another.A friend of a friend of a friend![]()

Even with Trump’s hiring freeze the FAA was allowed to advertise 145 postions, if you think these jobs will only be filled by a woman or minority you’re insane, they are looking for anyone remotely qualified.
It’s hard work, something the geriatrics in this forum are long since finished with.

I watched the PSA (Pacific Southwest Airlines) jet crash in North Park, a community in San Diego, back in 1978, I think it was. My location was a 10 minute drive from where the plane went down. I had some concerns because friends lived in the general area, but once I knew they were safe, I really had no more interest in the situation.
That's just one example.
I hope not!!Flying out of DCA mid Feb, should I be worried??
Couldn't get a direct flight from BWI or I would have used it.I hope not!!
But, I never fly out of there, it's too darn congested for me driving and finding my way around there. UGH. I typically go to BWI, because it's what I know. When the Things were young, I was always driving up there by myself, so I've gotten to know it so well, and how to get around easily, etc. Hell, I've always gone by myself.I think there might have been 1 or 2 times I've ever been dropped off and picked up at the airport in 20 years.
