Nate Silver says not to place too much stock in late polls - or polls the NEVER deviate from past efforts.
Late polling by some firms tend to lie a little, because they don't want to look bad - so they adjust their output based on what they believe the consensus is. Kind of like, one sheep goes over a cliff, they all do. A week out, you can bet most of them are lying.
But there's also the ones that NEVER have outliers in their polling. He said you should TRUST the ones that have them more often, because that's the nature of sampling. When you're always spot on and rarely deviate - you're cooking the numbers. Numbers SHOULD deviate. That's why you have sampling error. It happens. Case in point, the Des Moines Register Iowa poll. There's rarely a state more reliably conservative than Iowa, yet in their OWN SURVEY, it went from Trump up by I think three to Harris up by 10. That's statistically impossible. Just look at the consensus of Iowa polling.
I still have nervous knots about the whole election, just as I did in 2016 - believing HIllary would win anyway, but being - shocked - that Trump won. BUT THEY ARE ALREADY finding shenanigans all over the place - Georgia precincts collecting late ballots - spoiled ballots in Arizona - reams of faked ballots that have been CAUGHT. Dammit I am getting tired of an election system that is SO VERY EASILY duped.

First ask yourself what has Trump done differently this time to 2020?
How did he gain supporters?
People were tepid on Biden but voted for him for stability after the chaos of Trump.
Now people still see Trump as chaotic but are enthusiastic about Kamala.
Plus Trump caused J6th, has been convicted of sexual assault and 43 felonies and has two more trials looming.
How does that lead to a win in 2024 if he couldn't win in 2020?

Joe Biden didn't step aside. He got steam rolled by Nancy P and Barack O with able assists by the Hollywood ID-10Ts.
He wasn't *just* Mayor of SF, he was a major player statewide and extremely powerful. He mentored Gavin Newsom as well, and continued to be a king maker after he retired from political office. He appointed his girlfriend Kamala Harris to various high profile commissions where she could meet the right people, and that propelled her up the ladder starting with him walking her into her DA position.
It's similar to calling Nancy Pelosi a "low level" politician because she's just a House member repping SF. The reality is much much more.
