He is doing a million times better. I'd like to get some more weight on him but for the most part he is back to being a normal puppy. He even managed to shove Momma off the bed earlier.

Cute pup and momma and good on you for being so generous as to adopt them.
They look a lot like the pup we adopted about 6 months ago. Marci was found in and resuced from a barn (so we're told) and weighed 12 pounds when we got her. She is now pushing real close to 40 pounds and is my best buddy who goes nearly everywhere with me.
