Presidential Debates 2012

At that time (1976 - 1988) then I did not like Carter and I did like Reagan.

But now in afterthought and in honest reflection of the realities - then I find that Jimmy Carter was very enlightened as President, and Ronald Reagan was in very many ways a truly horrible President.

When we judge by the realities and by the real record then the conclusions become more properly clarified.

:patriot:

With thinking like that, I'm shocked you're smart enough to wake up in the AM :ohwell:

I'm sure Osama will sleep better knowing that you're backing him.

Yeah. That's it. Jim Leher is a closet Republican. What next? Obama has done a poor job as potus because, in reality he, too, is on the side of the R?

I do say that President Obama has given too much to the side of the R.

And Romney even took a shot at Lehrer as he said he would cut funding to PBS and to Big Bird - which did not phase Lehrer.

As such I see it as two white guys against the one non-white President in the debate.

But so few of the rest of us live in that bizarre parallel universe that you, cellarboy, and your few klingons inhabit.

Forgive us our lack of understanding....accordingly,

JPC, tell me you did NOT mean to call military retirement an entitlement...

Seriously, dude, you better have mis-typed that.

Truly - I am at the very low end of the entitlement class.

The big entitlements go to the wealthy and to those who have no need for the entitlements.

I am on the lowest order of Disability - SSI.

Other entitlements like the military retirement gives a large check plus benefits to a healthy person only 38 -42 years old for the rest of their life (join the military at 18 - 22 and serve 20 years gets lifetime entitlement checks).

And even they are not the BIG entitlements, as like the huge oil companies get huge subsidies from the Gov as their entitlements.

I really am at the very low end of the entitlement class.

It would be interesting if they would debate this in the debates tonight - but I expect not.

:coffee:

I decided a while back not to respond to your posts anymore, but making an exception. I have to say that I agree with others because of the fact that you have the "audacity" to include our brave military under the term "entitlements". There are various definitions for that word. Surely, you meant they are entitled to be taken care of because they defended our country, but I know that is not what you really meant. They should live in our country for "free" the rest of their lives; and that is the lucky ones that come back from war. One statement you made is correct; you are the lowest on the entitlement ladder, and, that is as it should be. I am kookoo, but, I have to say that you are so off the kookoo chart, that you are in orbit, and not even in our universe. Take care. Oh, wait, that has a whole new meaning now, too. It means someone else/government takes care of you. Are you a veteran? Please stop your ridiculous postings. I feel embarrassed for you.

It was no mistype.

The military retirement is an entitlement, just as is gov employee retirement and perks are too.

When our US Congress talks about cutting "entitlements" then they are talking about all entitlements.

When they say Social Security then they mean Social Security, and when they say Welfare then they mean Welfare, and when they talk about cutting "entitlements" then they mean all the entitlements including the military retirement.

Your link is actually saying that Jimmy Carter himself had 18 slaves, and then it has the gull to say that the slavery helped to lose the election for Carter.

Such an ignorant website could be rightly sued for libel - unless they call such lying nonsense as free speech?

As to the past Carter family having had slaves during and before the Civil War then that is not some secret info since his is an old Georgia family, but Jimmy Carter has repented of his family's past racist crimes, and Carter was the most determined of all US Presidents in the promotion of human rights in the USA and in the entire world.

The true white-Devils are the whites who refuse to rightly repent and to make amends and who deny the racist truths.

I do thank you for saying that.

I see myself as a tool for the truth, and a tool for doing right and for preaching right, and a tool for justice and for every high virtue.

In fact being called a "tool" is very close to the highest compliment that anyone can give.

Cheers.

Get the fvck out of my country you asswipe. I served my Nation for 24 years, missed most of my son's young life and left my very strong wife to handle things here, all for less than civilian wages. I loved it and would do it again. I chose that life and one of the BENEFITS was a retirement that I drew at 38. 60% or so of my base pay. It is NOT an entitlement. An entitlement is something that is not earned, such as disability, you moronic fvck. To think you consider my service to this nation an entitlement is stupid. What positive thing have YOU done for this nation, you whore mongering dead beat. I hope you die a slow horrible death and if I ever meet you on the street, I may help you. Fvck off.

I do not approve of you making threats on here, or posting your dirty language, as those are not a mature ways to communicate, and I suspect you learned to be a bully through the experience you describe above, and yet here I make myself known and available to anyone and to all.

If you look at the links that I posted then you could see that our gov and everyone informed on this subject do say and do know that the military retirement is an "entitlement" and it is just me who has passed that info onto you.

From your own words you are not disabled as you are a healthy man getting a sizable check every month from the Gov starting at the young age of 38 along with lots of veteran perks too, and the Gov is going to pay you off from that young healthy age of 38 and onward for the rest of your life as you see your self as entitled to it, and yet you complain about giving Food Stamps to poor people and giving Disability checks to disabled citizens.

I say you do need to threaten people and you might even need to truly fight people (along with your dirty language) in order to make your self as right or as righteous as there is no other way for you to accomplish that task.

The schedule is set for President Barack Obama to squash the challenger in the debates and insure his own reelection to another four (4) years.

CNN always has the very best of all election coverage, and on October 3rd CNN is starting its coverage at 7pm.

Got to like David Gergen as he tells it like no other political analyst.

Link = Why debate is crucial for Obama, too (CNN) | David Gergen

Next comes the vice-Presidential debate featuring the real vice-President up against the wannabe pretender from the other Party.

Link = 2012 Presidential and Vice Presidential Debates - The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD)

The plan is set for vice-President Joe Biden to squash the challenger in the debates and insure the reelection of himself and President Obama to another four (4) years.

I agree that Romney won the first debate.

It is true that I do not have the ability for prophesy or predicting the future, as that ability does not work for me.

This also reminded me that in 1984 President Reagan lost his first debate to Walter Mondale, and yet Reagan still won the election.

In the debate President Obama said it right that Romney fails to give any details to his so called "plans", and Romney basically said that he wants to be elected first as President and THEN then Romney intends to work out the details.

And the moderator Jim Lehrer was clearly on the side of the R, as both Romney and Lehrer were interrupting the President and they bullied the entire debate.

The bigger problem with Romney is that Romney is a scoundrel.

JPC, i wonder if Romney might have learned something from one of the biggest losers on capital hill, from one of the most broken states in the union aka Nancy Pelosi who stated if you want to know what is contained in the Obamacare legislation, pass it and then read it.

This one is going to be comical, Joe can't make it through more than two sentences without looking like a complete moron. I think I may have figured out why you like him.
